This is the way of the wave,
Greener: Oil giant Chevron is tripling spending on low-carbon initiatives. It plans to drop $10B through 2028 on carbon capture, biofuels, and other tech.

5.64% daily average rate on my shares being lent out. Highest of any of my lent stocks.

I'm getting 7.125% on Fidelity, but only about 20% of my shares are getting lent out.

What's a normal daily take for you on it? Mine is a couple bucks

Posted on 9/15/21 at 11:16 am to Chucktown_Badger
I'm getting about $30/day into my brokerage and $30/day into my Roth accounts. Get 7.125% on SLI, 6.375% on HUMA, 3.375% on NVVE, and 2.125% on ASTS. About 20% of SLI is normally lent out, all of HUMA, about half of NVVE, and all of ASTS.
If I could just get all my SLI lent out, I'd be making like $6-7k/month. And the interest money earned in my Roth gets deposited tax free into that account!

shite, that'd almost be retirement money...$72k a year for doing nothing other than owning a stock

Assuming it stays at this price level… If it went to $20/share then it’d be like $200K per year, crazy.

If I lend shares I gotta get off margin right? Idk y’all are making it sound like not a bad deal
Posted on 9/15/21 at 2:14 pm to el Gaucho
Well that’s cool.
If Cramer does a spot on SLI we could definitely see an unexpected bounce.
When does Mad Money air?

I believe so. The Etrade one is called "Fully Paid Shares Lending".
It's legit free money.

That show is hard to watch. He talks so goddamn fast you can't digest what he's saying.

If you are approved for Level 4 options, then you can do the fully paid lending while still writing covered calls. But with Fidelity at least, if you do the fully paid lending in retirement accounts or a brokerage account with Level 1 or 2 options trading enabled, then you can’t write covered calls anymore. My brokerage account is set to Level 4 even though I never trade on margin, just so I can write calls while getting the fully paid lending income. Out of retirement accounts, only IRA’s are eligible for fully paid lending, 401K’s and H.S.A’s are not eligible.
