These big dips on so little volume are so annoying. It takes 10X the volume to get a big move up versus a big move down.

Not selling yet but my concern is rising.
No updates in a long time. Lithium market is green across the board again, and SLI is down again.
May be close to taking some profits and diversifying finally.

I agree but technical traders are already talking about how the uptrend has been lost here. We need to get the ball rolling on the JV to get into and hold anything above $7 imho. I'm OK with this consolidation, don't want the huge spike to $20+ until next year when all my shares are long term cap gains anyways...

Yeah it's no fun to see ALB/LAC/LLKKF/CYDVF all up and this is down 2-3%. It did run harder than any of those stocks so, so maybe just long term things are averaging out?

I think psychologically it would be easier if we didn’t know news is out there. Tetra PEA in ‘early q3’. Obviously JV. More info on sifter and South American inflow of below battery grade.
Knowing stuff is pending makes it harder

I just wish that the people at sli would realize that a lot of us depend on sli to make a living and make the stock go up

Chill out with the hate speech
Besides kamala is gonna tax those unrealized capital gains next year
Pay ya tax

Yeah I'm not expecting JV news for another month or so, but on the flip side I think the lag we expected between the JV announcement and FID being reached on the 1st plant (which I had originally thought would be 3-4 months), will probably be much shorter than that. So they still may get to the same starting point of starting Plant 1 construction at the start of 2022.
I fully expect the shorts and the MM's to make it a painful game for us to wait on the news, but as they say it's darkest before the dawn.

I just need one rocketing stock in my portfolio at all times to keep me from getting bored, haha. ORGN has been good for that the past week.

What if dilution happens before JV

Because one year ago that’s what it was worth. Not much has changed since then.

Yeh I think the price point is probably settling in at a fair value. That $8-9 range was overvalued for the information the market has available.
My concern is that there are a bevy of guidances on timeline that are all pretty much past due.
PEA of tetra was supposed to be early Q3. Why haven’t they released that? Not terribly late, but it’s one of many.
Sift plant commissioning should have occurred by now. Was scheduled to begin after weatherproofing of the skid in late July. No updates there.
Full economic feasibility of Lanxess/south Arkansas leases was supposed to be done in 2020 and is one of the requirements of the JV. Where is that?
JV is also contingent on successful proof of concept, which includes running the Sift plant for 12 months. Does the run time in Canada count towards this 12 months? Are we still 1 year from the earliest possible JV completion?
The most recent guidance from Standard directly related to the JV says they hoped to have it done in 2020. We are woefully overdue for a general status update on the JV effort.
I’ve been studying the information available to us a bit more closely and realize we are a bit more in the dark than I would like.
Now, that was my pessimistic outlook. There is plenty of positive information you could glean as well. The recent shelf offering would supply over half of the estimated Capex for the commercial scale plant. Is Standard proving that it can supply XX amount of funding to the JV a part of the negotiations, which would now be solidified? Is commissioning of the Sift unit at Lanxess south plant another milestone for execution? Again, they wanted 12 months runtime, but if the Canada run time counts we could just be waiting on the first sample to pop out in Arkansas.
Plenty of big time news could be dropping literally any day.
The market is just so out of the loop now. I may formulate these concerns a bit more eloquently and send Mintak an email to see if he can expound on anything.

Also ask him if they have an open position for Director of Investor (or Public) Relations. I will apply today.

I don't think it would hurt to drop him a message.
In the interviews he's done historically, he is very specific when he mentions updates/status that this is public information so he can speak about it.
If he doesn't offer anything of substance, perhaps nothing else, it can be a catalyst for a public update.

That would be an excellent email, much more productive than a hat or a shirt solicitation.
