They would do an offering while the ATM is ongoing? At least I think it's still ongoing

Smack whats the word from the ground? Should I buy more?

They still say breaking ground by year end. Final offtake and FID by end of October or sooner.

I haven't added anymore. The employees are very optimistic, but nothing concrete.

That’s true, it may not be a direct placement offering but a large cash draw on the ATM. Basically the same thing though. If SLI needed $10M for something right now before the funding is finalized, they may have negotiated $1.80ish with Cannacord to get the cash immediately. And the market supported that, thankfully.

I am not an authority on this but I would guess since Cannacord is just a broker receiving commission they can probably be told inside information without violating insider trading laws and all parties were comfortable with the brokered sale price/commission.

FWIW I am in OG industry and had a recruiter reach out to me about a role for starting up and running a new lithium plant in Arkansas. Job was to join team, write procedures, support build out, and run the plant after.
35 operators.

That's probable the demo plant Tetra is currently building.

It could be SLI, they are adding a few operators. 35 would probably be about right for initially staffing.

New today shows the off take agreements are filled. Only other thing is acquiring financing. But this shows the revenue will be there when the plant starts.

Maybe the big drop in stock was for the final company to sweeten up the deal???

With that kind of response to the offtake agreement I'm glad they didn't announce an offering lol.

Would you add more at 1.60 if it goes there?

I would. May add some more now, but I have a shite ton tied up in it already. Now would be a good time to open a position.

I'd add anywhere under 2$, Once fid is in The rear view and groundwork is going on I see a continual gain to production. They've never been able to shake the notion that they are the Nikola of lithium since the Blue Orca hit piece, site work will cure that.

Assuming the FID announcement comes this year, any predictions from the gurus here on the December price post - announcement, before the tax loss harvesting starts?

Are we going up to 4$ or down to 1$?

I see financing and groundbreaking as being the real pumps, fid is just another step and SLI hasn't been too shy about dragging their feet. Once they sign financing they are going to finally want to get to production asap. Either of those should give a bigger pump than FID, no prediction as to how high it will go.

I agree on the financing, and the details will come with or before the FID announcement.
If the debt turns out to be anything less than 1.1 billion and they have to manage the shortfall with equity, I foresee a crash in the price and us probably going down to $1
But if there's no more unforeseen equity requirement, we should see a spike.
Just trying to understand where the spike could go up to.

Yep, we are in the leap of faith zone. Today's announcement does take from them the option of selling their excess lithium for a premium on the open market if LC went up. So that's a limiting factor.

I added a bit more. Only a couple thousand shares total for me, tho.

I've been in this so long and could have had a bigger position, but didn't want to get in over my head.
