Literally no one times these things accurately on any regular basis. The quicker some of you realize this the better you’ll be with your own finances.

This is not the end of the downturn. There is more pain ahead for the next few days/weeks in my opinion.

why? the evergrande situation has been going on for months

why is it a big deal all of a sudden? sounds like MSM fear-mongering to me.

We were going down without Evergrande. Everyone has known about Evergrande for months. It was just a hype catalyst for media.

Inventory issues (cannot sell what you don’t have), tapering, interest rates rising, inflation and we haven’t had a 5% correction in 12 months. If you are buying here because Evergrande is over then good luck. I’m not.

I’m looking at high yields. I bet there’s spread blowout in this second half of the year.

I don't know much about bond trading. Can you explain this to me?

You can use the large ETFs as a bond proxy. Look at a chart of HYG for example. I can put down $1k in put premium and get a massively asymmetric return and 2 quarters until expiration. Just an idea. The past 2/3 crashes have been led by corporate spreads blowing out in the past 3 years.

I haven't started a position yet so I have nothing on. I was looking at Delta -30/-20 range for 22 March. I think that's around $75-80.

people are slowly wisening up but many people will just never get it

There is so much funny money floating around in this low rate, inflationary environment that any and every dip is going to get gobbled up immediately, regardless of what negative stimulus is presented.

Doesn’t help that the contagion presented by Evergrande seems to be really overrated

I’ve had 2 massive days this week, another decent red day and a relatively small one. I am positioning myself in oil/natgas stocks. 3 or 4. Then crypto related stocks. Then some nasdaq related stocks that are way down and are showing signs of moving up for a week or so
