All thanks to you putting me on! Made a few expensive mistakes, but starting to get the hang of it.
Biggest thing is making sure my funds don’t all get locked into one bot that is “stuck”
I’ve actually reduced my safety orders to 7-10. If it’s tanking I don’t want to keep throwing money at a loser.
I’ve also closed some bots that had losses of $1-10 to free up the funds for other bots, or to allow them to “reset” around the current price.

I like to see the different strategies. That’s one reason I started this thread. I was hoping with enough of us tweaking this thing, we can turn this into a money printer!

TRAC is going off right now. Closed 15 times since 5 a.m.

That is much cheaper fees. I’m having trouble setting out my API for kucoin, three commas says it’s invalid. There are some poor reports on customer service, slow trades and accounts being frozen which is a little worrisome.

FLUX has been my main winner since last night.
My "bankroll" to start was 1200 even, I started Friday at 3PM. I'm up to 1265.00 only doing 10/10 buy/SO. I'm running a composite bot on the free plan with KuCoin as my exchange. I bought $10 worth of KCS and am using that pay trading fees for the 20% discount.
I'm trying to find the sweet spot for capital being traded vs sitting on the sideline. I understand it needs to be available for SOs but if you want your 1.5% to compound daily/weekly, you need to get more of it in the game.
I noticed with 10 trading pairs, I'd still have 600-700 available out of my ~1250, I'm thinking that should be closer to 50%. With a standard distribution curve, a very small number of deals will go past 4-5 SOs. So I increased my trading pairs and changed my max SOs.
Current settings:
10/10
1.5 PT
2.5 SO dev
10 max SOs
1.05 for SO volume
20 trading pairs all paired to USDT
Also I've been limiting my pairs to coins that are priced under $100. My thought there is a coin priced higher than $100 will have larger swings as there is more room to swing. I will miss the larger spikes but also the larger falling knives. My goal is consistency, not homeruns.
Once I find the sweet spot, my plan is to aim for 1.00 profit instead of .15 and increase my capital.
Questions: How to scale to make profits compound? I may be making 1-3% in the beginning but as my bankroll grows, that daily percent will go down. Scale out occasionally? I still think out is safer than up.
Should I change my SO dev to 3% instead of 2.5% since I'm targeting 1.5% instead of 1.25%
ETA Current trading pairs:
ADA,AOA,ATOM,AVAX,DOT,FLUX,FTM,ICP,IOTX,LINK,LRC,LUNA,MANA,MATIC,ONE,SHIB,VET,XRP,XTZ,XYO
I only am using pairs that are Class A on KuCoin to limit my trading fees. I will probably replace IOTX and XYO after they close current deals as they have been stagnant now for 2 days.
It would be nice to give the bot a selection of 30 coins for 20 max deals and let it pick which to open, guess i'll have to look into signals instead of just buy/strong buy.

I had no issues at all with it. I did it all on computer though and not mobile.

I figured it out, it was asking for a passphrase and I was putting in my trading password, but it was saying the key was invalid so it threw me off.

BTC, ETH, ETC, and DOGE all turned around last night and closed at least once each. Twice for ETH. Got my account back in the green.
ADA seems to be recovering some along with SUSHI.
AMP is still 12% down though. It could be a while before it recovers.
The changes I am planning are:
1.)Remove AMP, SUSHI, ADA, and LTC from my bot as soon as their current deals recover and close.
2.) Raise BO/SO from 10/10 to 10/15
3.) Raise SO limit from 2 to 7
This should allow for more and better DCA as they dip and remove the shite coins with the highest chances of tanking. I would then be trading only BTC, DOGE, ETH, and ETC.
would you change out any of those 4 for something else instead?

My ADA deal from yesterday just closed a bit ago. Still have 2 open with 5 SOs each from yesterday.

ADA is still down .7% for me. I have my TP set for .75 so it needs to recover a bit more for yet before I can get out of it without taking a loss.

Can someone refer to a good educational source on crypto bots?

To be honest, I don’t know if there is a magic pair that will not drag you deep into SO’s at some point. Right now HNT has been in beast mode for a month. When I started, NEO was the king. I’m sure it will cycle back as long as there is not something fundamentally wrong with the coin. I would consider going for coins that haven’t ran up lately like ADA, FIL, ETC,REP, BAT, XTZ, OXT, ANKR, STORJ,WAVES, MKR. If you’re buying just the moon coins that are really pumping, you may get caught buying in at all time hi’s. That’s not to say, that they won’t continue to pump though. Guess that’s why I have all the USD pairs BinanceUS has.

How do you (any of you) decide on which pairs you like? Provided I wouldn’t jump in to more than 40 in the first go of this
Posted on 11/7/21 at 2:35 pm to Zzyzx
I do every USD pair BinanceUS offers.
Posted on 11/7/21 at 2:36 pm to Zzyzx
This is what I started with:
Two that are relatively stable:
BTC
ETH
Well known and popular:
DOGE
ETC
LTC
Unknown to me buy seems to have some backing:
ADA
Total shite coins that are all over the place:
SUSHI
AMP
Disclaimer: This is a very low capital account that I started on Wednesday as a proof of concept before sinking significant funds.
After going through this, if you are starting out and are going to get queasy about losses, stay away from the shite coins. Stick with coins that are higher value and more stable until you get comfortable with what you are doing.
Starting BinanceUS account balance on 11/3: $250.00
Current 3commas total profits: $6.99
current BinanceUS account balance: $253.36
total deals closed: 64
The outlier is AMP, which is currently down 13% for me and has $5.65 in losses. I'm assuming if I hold onto it long enough it will get pumped eventually and I can at least get out of it without taking a huge (relative) loss.
My plans are to drop SUSHI and AMP as soon as they turn green.
The only thing I can 100% tell you to make sure you do if you are using a single composite bot on the free 3commas: make sure you can set your SO at least 50% higher than your BO (something like 10/15) and your maximum SOs to at least 5-7. This means when a coin tanks, the bot will DCA it appropriately and you are much less likely to get in a giant hole like I am with AMP. My mistake was choosing many coins with 10/10 and only 2 allowed SOs. It means as they crashed I could not DCA down with them.
For me, this means fewer coins since my funds are so low. Like I mentioned before I am going to eliminate some of them once they break even. may be a week, may be a month, we'll see.
The one single cool thing out of all of this is that I put $20 in BNB to pay fees out of to take advantage of the lower fees, and BNB has gone up 8% in the last week, completely covering all of the fees I've incurred. I think at least. BinanceUS doesn't seem to clearly report fees paid that I have been able to find.

Other than coinbase pro (and their big fees) what exchange(s) are you folks in Louisiana using? - preferably one legal to use here.
If my math is right, coinbase is eating up something like 84% or so of the profits I should be making.

FTX.US is "legal" with lower fees than CB and 3commas has a deal with them as well where you get a higher sub plan if you use them.
KuCoin is legal, but if you don't go through the KYC process, it's still relatively anonymous. You would be expected to self report since they won't 1099 you.
