It says you get 3commas pro benefits if you use FTX. Maybe thats why you were able to do more than 5 at a time.

I've got the 3commas free account, one DCA bot running 8 different coins. BinanceUS is the only market I have attached. There definitely is not a 5 coin limit any more.

What technical indicators are you using as your buy signal. I’m using RSI

I made some paper bots (every account has a “paper” bots that you can use to test different settings) that would trigger off of the RSI from trading view (3 commas will connect with trading view). I compared it to a regular DCA bot, and the DCA performed better. Of course I may not have had my parameters set right, but it would trigger on the rising and falling RSI. I’m just using the buy ASAP option on my cash account.

This is a Trade Alts video on how to set triggers using TradingView

Nice.

I will also say, however, that I have a free account and I have 2 bots going using FTX and I don't have a 3commas pro account. Just if anyone else is interested.

Now THAT'S interesting that it is letting you run 2 bots on a free account. Interdasting.

Coinbase pro fees up to $10k - maker/taker both .5%
FTX - maker .1% / taker .4%

So with coin base you have to put your profit takes at over 1% at least or you won’t make any money right?

I already have a kraken, three commas and kraken say they allow API bots. fees are 0 to .26%

That’s total volume of trades over 30 days. In 5 days my trade volume is already at $296,000. I opened this account at $5k.

So the fees should drop and be less moving forward since it’s a trailing 30 days.

From reading this, I went and started my own. Using the free plan for now with 1 composite bot trading 5 pairs and allowing 5 deals at a time with 20 SOs like stated. It's performing really well. It's underfunded, I only put 1250 with buy/so set to $10, that could potentially be 210 per bot, so only slightly underfunded.

My question is what is the advantage of the single bots over the composite? The only thing i see is no place to set a trailing deviation in the composite bot. Are there any other differences?

What 5 coins is it running?

I think the primary benefit of many single bots versus one or two composite bots is that you can setup each coin to process differently. Maybe you want the BO and SO higher for some bots than others, or you want one or two to trade in USDT instead of USD.

I agree. I have 3 bots that are running at different setting than all my others. BTC, ETH, and ADA are all running 250/250 with 10 safety orders. I did this because they are more stable, and usually don’t make the big swings like the others. Of course ADA has bit me in the arse lately, but it’s usually late to the party anyway. Will be a nice profit when it finally sells.

My friend that I originally asked to try the bots to see if it was legit, has some crazy settings. I say crazy, but they are actually pretty safe when u look at it closer. Now he does have big bankroll to play with, so he swings for the fence. He makes way more than I do. His bots are set at 1500/1500 with only 3 safety orders at 5% intervals. The big difference is the safety order volume scale. He sets his at 2. That really brings your average down, and your price way up! When the market is rollin, he is definitely killing it. Of course his bots have maxed out and he had to add more money to DCA them down further.

I’ve thought about doin something similar on a smaller scale, but just haven’t convinced myself to do it yet.

First full day of running 10 bots, I made 55 dollars. Pretty happy with the results so far. I think I will play with it for another week or so before increasing funds. Only had one bot today go deep into the safety orders.

I really want to dive in head first, but don't want to be to aggressive. I probably check my bots every 30 mins or so.

It is more difficult than it appears at first. My bots executed zero deals today and all 8 coins I have in it are between 3 and 12% down right now. My account is still flat at $250 where it started on Wednesday though because of the $8 profit it made Wednesday and Thursday. I have to think these will recover over the weekend into early next week and it'll get back on track. We'll see.

Ya the only thing that seems to be moving is QTUM and MANA. Maybe tomorrow will have more action.

I know what my biggest problem is. Because I am running 8 coins I can only have 2 SOs max per coin with only $250 in funding. That doesn't allow for very much DCA as they drop, so the uphill hike to get back to the tp is highers than it would be if I had 5 or 10 SOs max.

It's a proof of concept for me to convince the wife to let me dump more of our savings into it. It's just an uphill battle with the minimal funds.

If I had confidence in just one or two coins activity I would drop the other 6 and increase their max SOs.

I can understand that. Safety orders are the key. Maybe lower your bot count down and bit so you can get deeper in safety orders if needed, or you can just wait it out a bit and see if they clear on their own. This week has been pretty flat in the crypto market. Was hoping we have a pump this weekend.

Has anybody tried taking profits at a lower percent like .25 or .5? Why search for 1 or 1.5 percent? Isn’t that the point of bots that they can execute these trades so fast, and .25 gains are seen a lot more often than 1.25, so let them do their thing and execute more often?

This is really cool and a bit fun, thanks for sharing! I setup the free bot with 6 pairs yesterday to try it out....definitely thinking I will move some more money in once I am comfortable!

I am having issues with one pair that I was hoping folks here could maybe help. I am setup on Binance.us and the pair is Sol_USD. Every time it tries to take profit, it give me an error, ""Error placing Take Profit trade: Invalid order params: 'MIN_NOTIONAL"". I think it is saying that the sell order doesn't meet the minimum amount of $10, but I don't understand how that is possible if it bought for $10 and then is selling at a 1.5% profit. Any ideas what may be going on? It did it multiple times over the night, Sol was at $235 when it bought and is now over $250 and it still won't execute.

Any ideas?
