So, if I were to pair a Chase Freedom card with my CSR, how do you know what the rotating categories are in a given time frame?
Is that the right card to pair with the CSR? I already have my 100K bonus points and used my travel credits for this year.

Question on ultimate rewards points. I got my wife to get a 50k UR bonus for getting Chase Freedom a while back. Isn't there a way to get her points combined with mine? TIA

I mean, there's no annual fee, so why not?
As for the categories, just google "Chase Freedom calendar".

Yes, you can either do it over the phone or in the UR portal.

Need to cancel my Sapphire Preferred, since the annual fee is coming up and I've already got the reserve.
What is the best non annual fee card to switch to? When I signed up for the reserve, they said I couldn't cancel CSP and transfer points there

Did they say why not?
A few years ago, the answer was the new fee Sapphire. Honestly, I have no idea what they will let you downgrade to at this point.

No clue, they just said they couldn't transfer pets from CSP to CSR... They also show up as two different buckets on the UR site.
I've got a combined 270k between the two, split in half amongst cards.

Someone lied to you. For my own edification (and amusement), I just logged into my UR portal and transferred about 40k points from my CSP to my CSR

Interesting... is there any reason not to? Limitations on what can be done or whatnot?

Every quarter it'll tell you on your Chase account.

I don't know if it's the best necessarily for your situation and spending habits, but it's a damn good one because it has no annual fee and those 5x's rewards are worth alot if used correctly.
You aren't going to find many 5x's points year round on most cards.

Nope. Pass points between your cards to your heart's content. There's absolutely no reason you shouldn't funnel all of your points to your CSR.

No one told you you couldn't transfer the points
You can do it yourself in your chase account

Yes they did, because I specifically asked... I told them I needed to to go ahead and cancel my CSP since I now had the CSR. They said I would have to roll the CSP points into a non fee card in order to hold onto the points, which I thought was weird.
Maybe it had to do with the CSR just being opened and couldn't transfer at that time
Follow up question, would it be better to go ahead and downgrade the CSP to a non fee card anyway? Don't know if its good to have one on file and since they wouldn't run a credit check to do it, may be the optimal time.
I churned a bunch of cards this year (Southwest Plus, Southwest Premier, Amex Platinum)

Why would you wanna cancel it already?

Just back from a week-long trip to Norway and a couple other places. Pretty eventful. Especially when I got denied boarding at my gate yesterday on my way back home. Then got the SSSS of death on my boarding pass. Worked the art to get home on the same day for a $95 rebooking fee.

Yesterday I bought a $500 Visa gift card from Walgreens with my Chase Freedom card, which has 5x's points for purchases at drug stores.
I paid a $5 fee to purchase the card, but will get 2,500 points, which when transferred to my CSR card will be worth over $50 in travel.
Made $50 for spending $5. I love this.
:)

I'm going to need a translation on that one, because it has me freaking out for you

Yes indeed. It's called manufactured spending.
Basically just strategies and loopholes to rack up CC points.
Some are more elaborate and not worth the effort IMO, but in this particular case it's pretty simple.
