Hope you did not purchase or just like to spend these particular cards for fun. I would advise to do more research before you decide to do this.

Explain? If I buy 3 of the $500 cards to take advantage of the 5% Freedom category, will I not be able to convert them to Money Order at Walmart like a previous poster?

CVS sells vanilla visa and MCs. Not accepted at wm. However, they are running a promo were amex gcs are fee free. Buy those, then use those to buy metabank or sunrise gcs elsewhere and then liquidate at wm.

Vanilla's can be liquidated at Albertsons. $500 limit per mo

Yes this is correct. Don't buy the ones from Walgreens unless you plan on just spending them.

Ya, I hit the 55k or so United bonus earlier this year so I already had 84,000 miles banked with them.

Don't tell me there was a better option. I was searching through a lot of stuff

I periodically do $1,000 of one vanilla at Albertsons.

It seems that card is the JPM select card. Strange since it looks like you are JPM reserve (metal card)

Curious to see what they say

Accidentally booked a free Andaz 5th Ave night with a promotional free reward for last night (meant for future date). Cancelled it and appeared to be okay as they said free night would show back up in the account

Woke up to a $600 one night rate penalty this morning.

Luckily I got them to waive it but I was pissed

It's not the jpm select card bc that's visa signature and discontinued, this is visa infinite, I called them to ask and basically they said due to the thickness of the metal lots of reserve holders were unable to use it at many places that swipe,so they were shipping out a plastic version to keep handy just in case with all the same info, so basically a show off version and functional version, brilliant chase, just brilliant lol

I have started to hate metal cards after I picked up my new iphone case that lets me store credit cards in the back

Case is incredibly convenient and awesome, but the metal cards take up too much space

I use one from verus off Amazon i wanna say it was less than $20 the back is gold, it fits 3 cards no problem and it's really durable I've had it over a year and dropped it countless times.

That makes sense. There was a post on reddit about the reserve cards getting stuck in places.

I definitely could fit 3 like advertised, but I prefer having 4 and metal cards screw that up

If Apple Pay would step the frick up we wouldn't have to carry any cards. I swear the only place that takes Apple Pay is Whole Foods I never can use it anywhere else

Oh good.

I have to go through the United rules, but if IIRC, I don't think I'll be able to change this itinerary to the nonstop if it were to become available. I think it was only AA that allowed that sort of change. In any event, I guess for the price of a 2 hour later arrival I get to say I saw the San Salvador airport.

Half of that is because most people completely forget about Apple Pay.

The habit of using a card is scrong
