Any others getting their replacement metal cards yet? my wife ended up getting the plastic one and was curious if they started shipping the metal versions or if the shortage was still ongoing.

Probably could call and have them send you one ahead of typical schedule
In my experience, they pick up fast and easy to do just on commute to work. The CSRs are probably sick of me calling about random stuff

I got my PP membership card yesterday.
Took about a week after activating the menbership
I've had mine for awhile. I'm just worried that PP gives you a "junior membership" type experience at certain lounges.
Was reading about both lounges in DC aren't open to PP members during certain hours

Anyone know anything about the Oct 5th amex announcement?

I'll have to check again with the drunk AMEX rep. Hang on, I think I still have her number.

Where is this story about the drunk AmEx rep? I've seen a couple different references to it. Think I missed that one.

I've had PP for a while through Amex, I rarely even find a place to use it. I usually don't travel alone either so paying the extra fee for guests is not worth it.

Yeah, PP lounges usually in international terminals. AmEx PP access sucks anyway as you have to pay. The PP membership that comes with Citi allows you + 3 guests. I think with CSR is unlimited.

CSR gets you free guests so it was very attractive for when I travel with the SO

I got the CSR, I guess I will have to sign up for another PP card.

Individual lounges can place restrictions on PP access for guests into their lounges

That is what I'm seeing. If you aren't flying internationally, can you even use the lounge or even get to it?

Sure, if the terminals are connected and you don't have to go through security

For some reason this never occurs for me.

AmeriKop, which option should I take? (rather not do another CSP)
-Hyatt + IHG
-CSP + Hyatt/IHG
-Other combo of cards

You already got CSR?
Ya, I think I'm just going to do Hyatt + IHG. I stay at Hyatts for work and I can use IHG for travel with the wife

I would do the CSP. If your wife can refer you then you net 60K points. That is equivalent to 2 nights at a top tier Hyatt (30K points per night), with the option of using at any other tier.
So you are maximizing point potential. May not always be able to with free night certs.
Plus Hyatt isn't under 5/24, you can always get it. At $0 AF first year, i don't see a reason to go Hyatt (or IHG) over CSP.
So imo, you should get CSP + Hyatt/IHG. Personally, I'd go with Hyatt and get IHG later.
Better yet, if you don't have the companion pass, go for 2 SW cards since they are under 5/24.

My 2 free night certs haven't given me booking options for something I was checking out recently even when award options were available.
Was going to ask about that
