Yeah, thats usually good news. You don't want to see the 7-10 day screen as that usually means denial. You must have developed a healthy UR balance now between you and SO. Time to burn

Want to book Park City Centric before it upgrades tiers, wife isn't a fan of winter sports & no friends/family want to book this far in advance

Literally the same boat every single year

Wife is a wakeboarding former state champion gymnast who easily "out athletes" me and has better balance. Figured, what the heck, she should pick up snowboarding fairly quickly. She didn't even make it a full day before tearing up that she wanted to go to the ski lodge.
Sucks since I love winter trips and she will never go just us again.

Question for the thread.
Is it worth flying IAH to LAX to experience Cathay Pacific's first class??
What would be a preferable return option, KAL/SIA/CAL?
(Not wanting to going through Japan as I would like to do that country on another trip)
I'm leaning KAL but wasn't impressed with the J seats i've seen in pictures. I'm probably knocking off SIA because I do not want to connect through Russia.

Isn't IAH the airport code for Bush Int'l?

Even though I have never personally flown CX F, this is on my top 5 to-do along with SQ, EK and JAL. I would say - Yes, absolutely. No question.
If you are using AA miles, however, and can find an AA flight with award space on the dates you need, you can add that free domestic leg.

DO THIS! Their J seats on the 777-300ER look so amazing. And SQ has been continually voted #1 airline in the world. I think this is a no-brainer really. One of the longest flights on one of the best products.
BTW - you are one of the only people I've seen using ICAO codes instead of IATA

Wasn't until your response that I even figured out

Just took the first code I saw, not used to using them.

Not sure if anyone cares about a sams club membership but my Amex offers has $45 credit for buying one.
Essentially, it makes the membership free

Yeah it was a bit confusing at first because you started off by using IATA codes for airports but ICAO codes for airlines.

Got this on 3/6 AMEX cards. I'll get one for myself and see if any other friends want the others. I do have a Costco memnbership and like it.

We go it on 3/3 Amex accounts. My question is how will they know if you buy a gift card for $45 or a membership. I think I may test my theory and report back.

Costco is worth it every time and maybe for an even higher fee.
I live <5 min from Sam's Club and have gone maybe 2-3x this year. Almost exclusively to pick up energy drinks at a discount since I hate coffee

Checked both my Amex cards today and haven't had any offers. I wouldn't mind having the offer.

If I have a companion pass for SW and book early boarding for just me, do they get to board with me early?

I do not believe so.
I think I'm going to just see if they let them go through and I'll play stupid.
Either way, I'll just throw my bag on the middle seat and put my overhead in a very inefficient way to reserve for the Wife

Can somebody tell me about the Chase Freedom or Chase Freedom Unlimited cards?
Thinking about getting one, thanks!

What is the alternative? A direct flight from IAH in business?
Either way...Yes. Definitely worth it. CX First is one of the best experiences in the sky. I'd make pretty much any domestic connection to fly it trans-Pacific.
