Then do that. I can almost never think of a deal that good in all of travel.

Yes I was approved.
In a few weeks, refer your wife to this card using chase referral link and earn an extra 10K (in addition to the 59K she will earn)

So if im approved and get the cards next week... This deal only lasts a year though right?
Posted on 3/22/16 at 2:41 pm to LSUvegasbombed
It lasts for the rest of the year in which you earn the CP + the next year. Ex: I earned mine in Jan 2016. So mine lasts until 12/31/2017.

Probably a stupid question, but can she get her own even if she is an authorized user on mine?
Posted on 3/22/16 at 2:44 pm to AmeriKop45
I will def. get this
thanks
thanks
Posted on 3/22/16 at 2:45 pm to Mark Makers
they will send her a card with her name on it but with the same account number
Posted on 3/22/16 at 2:46 pm to LSUvegasbombed
Yes I understand this and that will get my 5,000 bonus points on my account. But in addition to that, will she also be able to open her own account even though she is an authorized user on mine?
Posted on 3/22/16 at 2:47 pm to Mark Makers

Absolutely.
You can each get the 50k(welcome bonus)+5K(AU Bonus)+4K(earned), and one of you can get the additional 10K for referring the other.

Nice. Apply for both SW cards on the same day to merge inquiries into 1
Same goes for you Mark Makers. Suggest you go for the Hyatt card today if you think you can spend $1000 on that one too. 2 free nights at ANY Hyatt Hotel in the world + 5K points for adding AU. After meeting min spend you will end with 6K hyatt points. Transfer 2K out of your Chase Sapphire to Hyatt to stay at the Hyatt Place FLL before your cruise (8K points per night)

and I need to get this one as well
I feel like once I get all these perks there wont be anything else

As long as you are under 5 applications in 24 months, you can get Chase cards. So don't apply for anything but chase cards until you have their top 5. That is why I suggest new people to go for Chase first. Then branch out (After 5). Chase has some of the best cards that you definitely want to have in your "portfolio". The Hyatt and IHG for example give an annual free night as well. So worth keeping forever

Went ahead and got that one too, thanks! I don't see why I couldn't spend $5,000 in 3 months. Worst case scenario, i'll use the plastiq service a bit.
Once I knock out the $5,000 on these, then I should do another sapphire and hyatt with under my wife's name? Or do the Barclays Arrival+ under my name that you mentioned earlier?

Does the Chase 5/24 count against your spouse as well? I have Ink and SW cards now. Planning to hit a few this week or next. Will the limit affect my wife if she is an auth. user? I guess the next best thing is CSP then Hyatt? D

Again, like I said, next up for you would be Chase IHG or the 2 Chase SW cards. Chase only, until 5.
Wife should do the same. With your referrals whenever possible. Only 1 person needs the SW cards.

Problem with Chase is - yes, it shows up on AUs credit and looks as though its a new account (therefore counting against 5/24 rule). However, this is really easy to fix. File a dispute with Credit Karma. Easy to solve. Or cancel authorized user access after 1st purchase.
That said, my gf had been an AU on both of mine. She also has Discover, AmEx Plat, Hyatt, Citi Hilton in the past year. She got auto-approved for both CSP and Freedom.
Definitely CSP then Hyatt.

It's making me sick that I didn't have these a few weeks ago. I booked travel on a credit card for work, flying to Houston, renting a car, staying in Crowne Plaza. All of it was reimbursed by my employer but would have been a good opportunity to rack up some rewards points on some of these cards.

So with the 5/24 means we are at 4 with Ink & SW now. That means the door closes with chase for 2 years unless I cancel her auth. user now and get on the train before it leaves the station?
Posted on 3/22/16 at 3:36 pm to fatboydave
So you added her as AU on all these cards? I am unaware of any bonuses to add AUs on Ink or SW cards.
Anyway, just file dispute through her CK account. Its an easy process. Or cancel the AU.

There was a bonus on the Ink. Don't remember if SW. It was at least a year ago. I'm going to kill the SW AU card.
