I will probably just activate and see if it gets bumped to WE. If people's experiences don't change on the loophole, then I will probably close down all the AA cards my wife has to start the 18 mo clock (don't need the cards and don't want to risk the annual fee not being waived).

Just received my welcome letter and Citi Business card the same day. No mention of bonus miles in the welcome letter but it's my understanding that as long as I haven't had this card before I get the miles with the spend and personal cards have no bearing on this. Off to the Wiki to investigate.

It appears that the business letters do not have the 50k miles bonus language in them so I should be OK.

No mileage tracker when you login either for business, correct? You just get the miles in your account if the spend is made.

Ahh. Not sure what why that could be then. We're staying one night at the St. Kitts Marriott and have to pay the resort fee for the day even though I'm using points.

Ask them if they need any more info to expedite the process. Have your app number handy. Tell them about how good your credit score is, how you like the no forex fee and how you've never missed a payment if needed.

Fuggin A. Thanks man. The computer actually ended up declining me because I was randomly selected to have to send in a copy of my DL and SS card. Sounds like that was all that was holding it up.

Application lady said pending then an hour later when I called your number they said declined due to not having the DL and SS card. Not really sure why the quick change/terminology but they said that was the hold up.
Maybe she meant the initial approval was declined due to not having it.
My credit score is solid though so not really sure.

I had one in college when I got the 12 mo. Interest free one to pay off my apple but stopped using it after and it was cancelled. Other than that, nope.

That's weird. I applied for mine like a month ago and was approved literally in seconds.
Why would they randomly require someone to have to send in a copy of their DL and SS card?
