You got the correct one...look at the side, you can see metal between blue plastic.

Try to put it in your paper shredder... You'll change your mind.

Kangaroo Express gas stations surrounding my base all carry vanilla reloads

Still deciding if the juice is worth the squeeze. My biggest expense I would be using it for is paying off student loans and it would be a serious hassle getting the reloads, loading the bluebird, then getting a check. I can't pay online because fedloan requires a routing/acct number

They'll send you 100 checks if I remember correctly.

You could literally buy the card, load it from your phone in the parking lot and go drop your check in the mail. What's the big trouble?

GF's CSP came in today. Same exact number on her card as mine. Same security code on the back as well. Called the activation phone # and it only asked my last 4 SS# and the last 4 on the card. No mention of her info at all much less her SS#.

Just read my reply to you and I sounded like a dick. Didn't mean to come off that way. I was genuinely wondering if there was another issue.
Might want to wait for verification on what I said as I'm new to the VR scene as well.

Is there anywhere that summarizes how this works? What the heck is a vanilla card?

I'd like to know as well.

And I know I asked this a while back, but would you all recommend which is better Chase Sapphire or Capital One Venture card?

I'm done with the brand specific reward cards for now and want to move to big boy cards.

CSP is a better travel rewards card. COV is better if you don't intend to use your points for traveling.

There are a whole bunch of "it depends..." we could do, but that's the short of it.

Cool. Yeah, I want it for travel.

I bank with capital one and I wonder if I go into a branch could they "sweeten" the deal a little for me if I get their card.

In short yes... Used to be able to buy coins from the u.s. Mint but that loophole has long been closed.

Amex will review your account if they feel like you are working the system and chase will just shut down your account and take your points. So be careful and don't go overboard

Or pay bills with your bluebird acct.

Yes, build loads of points. Either to reach your minimum spend on a new CC or raise your points for rewards.

If you really only fly domestic coach then go with Barclay's or capital one. If you intend to do bigger things then CSP or other similar cards.
