Trying to set up my account to automatically pay the balance on the due date. Whitney has auto billpay, but it looks like the settings only allow you to enter like a flat rate to be charged each period, not to pull the current balance. It is blowing my mind that this is not an option, so I am assuming I am missing something. Any info anyone has is appreciated.

No you're probably not missing anything - just another example of Whitney's frustratingly outdated "online banking". I'm starting to question why I bank with them period.

Yeah that's miserable. I will probably switch out to a national bank when I am into full-time work in August and no longer on the parents' dole.

Can you set it up the "other way"?

I know my CC has the ability to withdraw from my Checking to make my payment if I chose to.

No, its not any different than the Whitney account (its a Capital One card). The lack of it there is what led me to look at Whitney. Maybe Cap One has it for other cards, this is just a starter account with a 1k limit.

Why would you think that Whitney would have access to your Capital one credit card data? They do not pass this data back and forth. It is a one way street. This would be quite a security risk for any online system to do this unless they own the credit card.

Well they have no problem pulling my bill up since I put in my username/password.

They probably do have access. Credit card companies (as well as other companies you pay) share information with banks. It's called e-bills.
