CPA exam tutoring or in person exam prep

Does anyone have any suggestions for in person CPA exam test prep?
Couldn’t find anything online that looked like they specialized in the CPA exam. Weekend in person classes that require travel from Baton Rouge could work too.
Thanks in advance.

I know that most people use Becker.

I did Becker in person and passed those parts but had to do homework
If you are disciplined Becker at home pretty solid classes are recorded

Same. Once I followed the program and stopped trying to study my own way, I've passed each attempt. 1 more left after tax season and I'm done.

I went through Becker once.
Then on tests I failed. I would use the book and just hammered multiple choice questions through ninja.
Personally, my advice is practice sims did not help me. I didn’t practice those. My theory was if you do the practice sims you’re not really preparing yourself any better for the sims than you are when doing multiple choice/studying the book. All you’re doing is spending significant time on one subject that might not even get tested on your test.

Sims helped me a lot on FAR. I hit 4-5 specific ones that were commonly tested and they ended up being on my last exam. I was able to knock them out quick and felt like I got them 100% correct.
I didn't find them as helpful on AUD or REG though.

I did Becker in person classes at LSU for FAR and REG and passed. It took me a few tires for AUD and BEC and I supplemented Becker with the Ninja questions.

Just got done with this bullshite. Now waiting on the state to give my number.
Used Becker, Ninja, I-75 and r/cpa.
passed them all but REG on the first go. missed REG by 1 point after 3.5 weeks of studying. retook in december and passed.
do whatever you can to finish it by Dec 15 as they are switching to new format Jan 2024 and no one knows what its gonna be like. first 6 months of 2024, everyone will be a guinea pig.
Good luck!

So the credit requirement is for literally any classes from an accredited college correct? There wasn't a ton of detail on the state board website.
I'm sitting at 142 hrs thanks to being in H&HP when I thought I wanted to be a HS football coach for a year. I'm hoping I can just take 3 classes this summer and have it knocked out. I need to get off my arse and figure this out.

Not sure where you live but Louisiana and I assume most if not all states require a certain amount of hours in Accounting, Business, Law, etc.

Becker with ninja supplement worked wonders for me

I'm in florida so it might be different but basically as long as you hit the state required classes they should be good. Florida also has requirement of 120 hours including specific accounting/management and blaw classes to sit for the CPA Exam. The extra 30 can be made up however you want.
Call the state board and get someone on the phone and see if htey can answer your question.

Yeah ours is pretty much the same. My accounting degree covers all of those required classes. Mainly, I just need to know if my Intermediate Volleyball class and others count towards my extra 30

I did a 1 hour FEMA self study that counts. Not sure who's is less applicable here.....
eta: put your life on hold until you finish your tests. tell your friends and family to frick off and get this shite over with ASAP.

First thing you need to do is get dead serious about passing it. I took it back in the day when you had to do all 4 parts at once. Got thru 2 the first time and the remaining 2 the second. I only did self-study. The biggest thing is to be very serious and study hard.

all the staff and seniors in my office (Regional) are trying to pass but they keep pushing the tests back because they won't prioritize it over doing fun things.
