Loaded up on another 100 shares this AM at $14.64. Still accumulating.....come on CHK and POP! ~ 360 shares and counting...only the first buy at $17 was premature thus far....

I buy my companies stock all the time, I know a lot more about it than most analyst, do pretty well.

Nothing wrong with buying own company stock unless you have material inside information. Most of those people are flagged...either via formal "blackout periods" or a not so formal list of people...can be subjective.
Bought more today at $14.25 when it was down over 4%...still accumulating....450 shares and counting....I think there is much money to be made here...even in the short term.

My cost basis is $14.80 for the 450 shares I gobbled since starting the post. I just wish I would have put some more $$$$$ on it....but gambling is gambling....and IT WAS GAMBLING.
But yea...looking safe right now....at least it's not going to $10 anytime soon like many have been saying....

CHK closed at 16.90 today. Got in at 16.04 a little after it started to make a run. I know ByDaBook is buying him a new flat screen soon.

Published reports say that Icahn has tapped veteran energy executive Vincent Intrieri to join Chesapeake's board. Icahn, who owns 7.6 percent of the Oklahoma City natural gas producer, has been pushing for a shakeup within the company's leadership.
Icahn and other investors are concerned about the amount of debt Chesapeake amassed while buying up land. The company plans to sell $14 billion in assets this year to help pay off its debts. Yet it continues to spend aggressively _ it increased its budget by $1 billion this year to $12.6 billion in all _ even though less money is coming in due to a plunge in natural gas prices.
