Me: Hello, Wells Fargo, yes, I'd like to restructure my mortgage to a 100 year maturity.
WF: Sir, we don't do that.
Me: You don't have a choice, it's a restructure.
WF: Sir, that's a default.
Me: Do you even economics, bro?
WF: Sir, I'm just doing my job.
Me: Let me talk to your manager.
Mgr: Hi, this is a manager.
Me: I'd like to restructure to a 100 year maturity.
Mgr: Sir, that's a default.
Me: But I'm a genius.
Mgr: Sir, we're taking your house.
Me: It's a restructuring cause I'm smarterer!!!!

WF: Sir, just answer the questions.
Me: You're a ninny-face.
WF: Sir, you will still have to pay us.

We can use it as part of a trade deal. When you have a master deal maker as President a whole new level of negotiation opens.

This really isn't that far-fetched. He really does have the balls to ask for something like this. However, I'm pretty sure it can't be unilateral if it's part of a deal. The Chinese sure as shite aren't going to be told they have to. It would be costly in terms of what we would have to give up in the negotiations, but that dude does need a win and an up market, so I could see him tweeting something like this, yes.

ETA: Forgot to mention Trump can restructure our debt in that case and prolong the maturity dates 50 to 100 years.

Why on earth would I lend you money at 0% on a 100 year note, when I can get higher interest on a 3 month loan?

Do you think rates will continue to get lower and lower for the next 100 years?
