Impressive. Very nice!

Curious… what’s your total investment and what’s your total return on it?

Sound like you have more than me. I've been in AAPL since 2013 and my average was around $17. Dividend reinventments have bumped me up to around a $21 average. +742% at the moment. Wish I'd bought more at the time.

I was digging through my old Scottrade emails trying to find my account number so I could access my TDA account and came across this trade I made about 12 years ago. I think I cried a little.

Sorry I was away for awhile. Based on what my Quicken file says Ive returned 801% My first buy was around $14 a share many years ago. People said at the time Apple was going bankrupt. I thought different. Lookin back I foolishly sold some each time it doubled. I stopped that years ago when the investment was not that big a part of the overall porfolio. Dividends walked my per share price up over time.

ETA: I'm an investor not a trader. I dabbled and actually made some money in the dot com era. My trades made me enough to buy my wife's engagement ring. Once we were married, and we had two reliable incomes, I became an investor.

We all have trades that we regret. Can't win them all. Just stay invested and the market will work in your favor.

Likewise I bought Apple for around $8, shortly after they went public, I think that was in 1981. I sold when it had doubled on the advice of the broker at my bank who said the run was probably over. My bigger mistake back then was not taking the job offered by a guy I shot pool with regularly at a local bar. He and two other guys were starting a new computer company, something called “Compaq”, I didn’t see it having much of a chance.

Pfff, got $980 but pales in comparison to EPD distribution. I like VLO's green diesel although it is still a relatively small component of its overall business, and they are good stewards of investors' capital. I own a good bit of BRK.b, but the Kraft deal did not sit well with me. The thing with BRK with OXY now is since they own over 20% of OXY they will get different accounting treatment and positively impact BRK income/EPS going forward.

If I had a nickel for every dividend check I received for $208,738,745, I would be rich.

Be interesting to see what tax check he writes.

He could do anything he wanted to... all the way up to $208,738,745.

Yes. The same guy that sold 48 million shares of OXY in 2020 only to be buying it back at 3x the price in 2022.That was about a $2.2 billion mistake. He is not infallible.

I knew NVDA was going to do something around 20 years ago and was a broke College student with no money to my name remember wanting to buy but didnt even have enough money to open a brokage account. i believe it was in the 10 to 20 range at the time. Toke me dam near 15 years to finely start making some money and now everything is overpriced.
