As to not cost the tax payers a dime (by purchasing more).
Had ticker up and MSTR dropped almost 10 percent in a flash & Bitcoin dropped over 5 percent on the news.

the federal government is now HODLing bitcoin and you think this is a gotcha moment? That Overton window is shifting really quickly.

The Bitcoin & MSTR run after the election was because people thought that the SBR would mean that the government would be purchasing more Bitcoin, a lot more Bitcoin.

MSTR & Bitcoin both dropped immediately on the report.
You actually thought that the run that Bitcoin had after the election was because the government was simply going to hold onto the bitcoin that they already had ?

I thought it went on a run because I’ve seen a chart of USD/BTC.

I speculate that drop was to seek stop losses on over leveraged longs and shake them out, and now it continues to pump.

So buy because the SCR is going to purchase billions of crypto and drive up the price.
And also buy when news breaks that the government won't be purchasing any more crypto.

So, just buy ?

Yes, over a long term BTC will outpace traditional investments.

16 whole years ?
Nothing screams "sure thing" like an asset that has a habit of crashing 70 percent or so every few years.

Imagine using this as a talking point when the returns still smash nearly anything else on the planet

I’m more and more convinced this site is full of people posting retarded opinions just to get responses and traffic.

people have been saying that for 15 years. I look forward to the day yeras from now when BTC drops from like $500K to $450K and people will go "this is it! It's the big one! Btc losers are surely done for THIS time!"

Of course this is exactly the kind of post I'd expect from someone who is shitposting on the Money board that only registered two weeks ago..

Someone should do a “faces of bitcoin” a la the “faces of atheism” from back in the 2010s

I think if people could see the average bitcoin “investor” it would kill the movement just like seeing the average atheist brought on a revival of Christian nationalism and President Trump

Young men would go from living in their moms house smoking weed hoping to get rich quick to carrying a lunch pail to the factory every day and starting a family

The saddest thing that y’all don’t understand is that this is all unnecessary and not the way things used to be

Back in the day men like us worked our shift at the plant with our best friends and then went to the bowling alley after work and got drunk and the only strife in our lives was whether or not you could beat the rival plant at the bowling league that night. Then you’d hop in your studebaker and go home to a meal cooked by your not fat wife. When you got too old to work you’d draw your pension and live out your days fishing until you died at 57 from mesothelioma like a real man. You never had to worry about the machinations of the lizard people or risk your hard earned money with their schemes

Nowadays the ruling class has us all pitted against each other in zero sum Ponzi schemes like Bitcoin and the stock market. Imagine having to gamble money you worked for and paying taxes on at the casino just to have a chance at not starving to death in your old age. And if you win you have to pay taxes again

There has to be a better way
