Best way to transfer money back to the US?

Wire transfer or are you trying to hide it?

Wire transfer. If you have a choice of banks in your host country, call your US bank and ask them which they sync up with the best.

I did this on the front end and was glad I did. Had no problem moving spending money over at the beginning of my stay, and no problem moving my earnings back at the end. But it would have been more complicated with a different bank.

Where and is the country a multinational? Did they tell you that you will only be allowed to deposit into a local bank that doesn’t have US connections?

I don’t really understand why this would be considered hard? Many banks you can simply ACH transfer to another bank account.

I have worked for US companies that direct deposited in US banks and now work where I am required to use a local bank and do a wire transfer.

There are many ways to handle this based on individual circumstances
