I believe the 27% drop the past month is a combination of delayed timeline for launches and Elon purchasing Echostar spectrum. While the delay is slightly concerning, I’m not worried about it long term. Elon wants to directly compete against AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile in fixed wireless and now mobile wireless. It'll take at least 2-3 years to deploy this spectrum as it requires a completely new satellite and mobile phones with compatible chipset. Even that is a very ambitious timeframe. ASTS technology does not require any modifications to existing smartphones…it’s compatible with current phones and ready to use.
I think what we’ve seen is an overreaction and a testing of the 100 DMA. Remember, Google’s 3rd largest holding is ASTS…they would not invest heavily in a company that is not going to deliver. Institutions have been increasing their position greatly this year. We’re in an accumulation phase right now…next catalyst will bring this above $50 and near $75 by EOY. Short-term patience will pay off.
Again, this is why my calls are 17-30 months out.

Three green days to end the week. Maybe we’ll have a slow build until the next bad news drops it to $25

Looks like it’s better if no one mentions ASTS and it goes up quietly.

Yesterday, AST SpaceMobile's transaction with Ligado for 45MHz of L-Band spectrum covering the US and Canada has been confirmed by the US bankruptcy judge. AST, Ligado and Inmarsat will seek regulatory approval from the FCC, which is expected in 1H 2026.
The Ligado L-band spectrum is valued around $15B. ASTS is currently valued at $19B as of 10am. There is a lot of upside in the short-term.

I had a $60 call that expired worthless last Friday that I bought at the end of July. It would've still had some life if I had picked a later strike date.
