Down 9% right after bell to closing up just under 1%. Can’t fixate on the daily swings. Enjoy the ride, hold for 4-5 years at minimum, and come out of this wealthier than you entered.

I’m treating this as my lotto ticket.
No problem with that but this

My highest conviction stock. Have roughly $130k in calls. Most of them expiring in 2027 with strike prices $45-55. My wife and I’s Roth IRAs are 100% ASTS. My 4 kids UTMAs are 100% ASTS. I’m going full retard on this stock.
Is one expensive AF lotto ticket.

I pretty much refuse to believe anyone would be this foolish.

So, we’re back to where the price was on Tuesday at 1pm. A little over 48hrs ago. The knee-jerk reaction some of y’all have is puzzling.
Follow Kevin Mak on X. He teaches economics and investing at Stanford. One of the brightest minds in the investing world I have come across the last 5 years. He explains technicals in terms that novice investors can understand and compute. Plus, he’s super bullish on ASTS. This is what he had to say about the offering….
“The company raises $500m, then spends like $30m to buy a "capped call" which is a secondary transaction with the investment bank's trading floor. This capped call effectively moves the strike of the convertible note up from $72 to (call it $90 or something). (The capped call is to buy shares at $72 and sell more shares at $90).
So essentially instead of collecting $500m and issuing shares at $72, you're collecting $470m and issuing shares at $90.
The main reason is the company wants a high strike to minimize dilution and the convert buyers want a low strike to increase their hedging gamma.”
Some rapper said, “Scared money don’t make money”. Profound words.

quote:I’ve been intently reading their business model, financials, projections, and everything news related with ASTS since January 2024. I’ve done my DD and confidently believe they will execute with their constellation of satellites and become a printing machine. Their technology is applicable with so many sectors, and everyone walking on this earth has a mobile phone. The TAM is too hard to ignore. I’ve lost $240k on AUPH calls 3 years ago…y’all can rightfully call me a fool if I lose my arse again. But I bet I’m going to come out ahead a huge winner. Just stay the course, ride the ups and downs, and don’t fixate on the weekly price action. That’s what gets investors in trouble.

Has anyone notice how incredibly expensive investing has gotten. It’s like I can’t even catch my breath with how fast stocks are climbing.
