Just amazed by the hysteria in this sector. Naturally led by TSLA. But does it seem sketchy how there are soooo many EV companies now?

How many electric cars do we expect to see on the streets next year? Feels like a massive bubble.

Depends on where you live. Much more popular in Cali. Even then its still well less than 5% of cars on the road there.

I think the accurate question is how many do we see in ten years. Whatever number that is, it will be dictated By what this sector does in the next 36 months

Once the big companies get their EVs going, these smaller companies outside of Tesla will be in trouble.

Possible.

I really like the Nikola truck. Looks great. Has a place to hook up and run tools at a job site as well.

Seems like they thought that one out quite well.

Looks like a truck someone might purchase.

I’d join the hysteria just to make the quick buck. Don’t think I’m going long in either. EV charging units such as BLNK and EVSI are another story. Will continue investing in those

I’d rather WKHS than a lot of the other ones mentioned. Companies will switch to electric fleets much faster than consumers will switch to electric, and electric commercial vehicles are now going to get a large tax credit

But TSLA is on another level. It’s not about the cars with them, it’s the intellectual property

I imagine pot is much more reliable in terms of working anytime you need it to.

You mean the $20k single seat EV with a 100 mile range? Yea that's not going to sell well.

That's what has been said for years now and they have done nothing. They can't produce a solid EV because as soon as they do their ice cars will be obsolete.

They are also in a tough spot with dealerships, who make most of their money through service and maintenance. EV require next to no maintenance. There have been several secret shopper studies where dealerships lie and do all the can to persuade people from buying EVs. I don't know if the big companies will be willing to go to a direct to customer sales model

It also doesn't have doors or an air conditioner...But it has a stereo system. I'm sure that won't get stolen with the car not having doors.

Oh yea, I forgot to talk about the roadster that looks like a classic car. Elon is out there hyping up a futuristic cyber truck and this company thinks an EV designed to look like a classic car will sell. Also the their website only shows a drawing and a 3D render of their third car. So far you have two very niche cars. Good luck but I think you're proving OP's point that EV stocks are a bubble.
