My wife and I have discussed retiring in Ireland. Relatively easy travel back to US, same language, affordable living.

Kids would be the biggest issue.

I'm not meaning to argue, and obviously you have had a bad experience, but do you really find the training and FDA to be detrimental for your health? The US is literally a destination medical center for the rich. Is it cheap? No. Is it good? Yes.

Very cool. Surprised you picked Tulum, though. Probably my least favorite city in Mexico.

But most love it so probably a safe investment. If the airport and/or train ever gets finished it will go up 50% in value.

Yeah, BAQ will be the base. Once I make some more money the next purchase will be a farm.

I’ll run the “farm” for you in Medellin.

My name is Juan Escobar. Let me know when you need me down there.

Farm in the coffee region? That would be badass.

I chose Tulum since it's a top tourist destination and once the airport/train is done it'll start booming even more. Plus I can use the train as a jumping off point to go stay in cooler cities I enjoy more. Then rent out the villa as a duplex...since there's a lock off in the back for most of the year.
