I am about 30% cash in Retirement account. I just don't want to lose money trying to find best yield for no risk.
Bought SNOXX bc I have Schwab just wondering if I can do better
Not really sure how bond fund works

Until recently I would have recommended the Vanguard GInnie Mae fund It has plummeted with rising interest rates so this may be the time to buy.

Since you’re already with Schwab, have you considered just buying 3 or 6 month t-bills - depending on what sort of duration you’re looking for?

SHV is a nice short term bond fund - my largest position.
I like DODIX’s active management.

our bond allocation is currently in short duration bond funds of 2 years or less. BSV is always a safe choice. either that, or as other have said, call schwab or whoever you use and ask them to help you buy short term treasuries.

You can get 3.9-4% on 6 month CDs. Don’t buy bond funds if you don’t understand how they work.
