So I’m wanting to park 50k into somewhere safe. I’ve gotten killed in the market that last year and a half so I don’t want to put anymore in there. So basically what i do is just log in to vanguard where I have an account and deposit it in money market and it will give me 2% on my money? It also has the chance to go up as rates increase?

Yep! It's a great place to hold money you might need in the near future - or to wait until a lot of uncertainty in the market sorts itself out.
If you're looking to avoid taxes on your gains, you might also check out tax-exempt municipal money market funds. But those are not a necessary consideration for peons like myself

VMFXX is the default settlement fund for Vanguard. So if you have money sitting in the settlement fund, you should start seeing much better returns this month than you have in the past.

My savings on etrade is uo to 2% flat, not bad
Guess it's only losing 6-7% of it's value annually currently now.

Where is the 2%? I’d move my money for that
Wealthfront. Also you can make a save better account. It’s a custodian bank that makes it easy to roll funds to different high yield savings accounts, also have CDs and no withdrawal penalties available.
