I bought 8 10/17 calls with a $16 strike price at $1.21 this morning. I sold half of them when it hit 100% gain so I'd be playing with house money. sitting at 121% unrealized gain on the 4 contracts I kept.... Of course I also bought calls on POET but I don't want to talk about that one yet

Honest question…the business side of the company is a no bullshite opportunity correct? Part of this is stupid AI hype but there is a legitimate reason to believe this company is a winner?

Y’all know more about this than I do

Honestly, tough to say with any conviction. Agentic AI is rapidly advancing and I personally speculate that a lot of existing contracts with UiPath may not get renewed due to the people pulling the purse strings at large orgs becoming enamored and tempted with cheaper options.

Not bullshite and legitimate, sure. Without being entirely familiar with their offerings and price structure and competitors though, I don’t have all the info to answer your question regarding their operations

i understand there's plenty of long term risk.
but if agentic is rapidly advancing, PATH is in the agentic business, and they have plenty of cash (all seemingly true) then there's a decent short term opportunity

i bought a little more but i'm ready to bail out if needed

one bull case for PATH i can state is this:

a lot of large companies have legacy systems that house confidential data. They arent interested in letting OpenAI or Anthropic run wild in their environment, due to many regulatory and compliance reasons.

an RPA developed in house by an RPA Architect thats on the payroll though, is fine. And a lot more businesses are likely learning about this tech everyday.

Agentic AI is a rapidly expanding market, and companies are starting to give up on establishing it themselves. UIPath will be there to enable businesses to easily create AI agents. It’s also an incredibly stable business and growing at 28% YOY even without agentic AI

this seems to be a pretty clear explanation of what PATH does, clear enough for me anyway.
quote:

$PATH uses computer vision to watch how employees interact with software systems across an organization, identifying repetitive tasks and patterns. From there, it learns to replicate and automate those workflows through robotic process automation (RPA) — effectively acting as a digital workforce that scales efficiency across the enterprise.

its starting to make sense. so the question is whether PATH is the best/better option for big companies to use. seems to me the only companies that would need this will have many many thousands of employees

EDIT: hopefully the CEO is a stone cold killer because after the initial "streamlining our efforts" this will result in loss of jobs, lots of them. i wouldnt want to be in that business myself
