Just wanted to say good luck to everyone studying. While the number of students graduating with accounting degrees is rising, exam takers numbers are flat or even slightly down, so, glad to see y'all taking the exam.
I will say the same thing I tell our young staff and I tell groups of students whenever I speak to them - take the exam as soon as you are eligible. Yes, you will be busy, but, you will always be busy, and as you get older, you also have kids/wife/other stuff to deal with. Knock it out when you can.
Also, if you went to a halfway decent school, and spend 70-100 hours of actual real studying for each exam, you should pass.
Don't get too caught up on any one topic, the exams are like a river 8 miles wide and 3 inches deep - it govers lots of material but not very much into any particular issue.
Oh, and I used Gleim, cause I was cheap and our firm offered a bonus at the end rather than paid materials.

Let's do this!
I have passed BEC (77) and AUD (87). Just got out of busy season so I am just getting back to the grind of studying.
Working on REG now. I have until March 2016 to pass all 4 parts before losing credit.
Using Becker

You have a good set up to finish them this summer. Plenty of time to not crush yourself and make a reasonable plan.

That is the plan. My problem is that I tend to over study and spend too much time studying and in the details. It causes me to study for a longer period of time before feeling comfortable to sit.
How do you study? I tend to watch the lecture once, and take my own notes. Then just hammer out questions over and over and over. I will sometimes go back and re-watch lectures over tricky areas.

I am doing two lectures a week (i.e. F3 and F4 this week) and I watch the individual lecture video, then answer its corresponding questions before moving on to the next sub-topic. I try to get through all of it at least once, then I leave myself 3 to 4 weeks of review were I just answer as many MC questions and sims as I possibly can. I have the flashcards but I use them sparingly, I don't find them very helpful.

Starting this summer with FAR, wish me luck.

Peter is actually really funny. Hilarious he is from Biloxi.

You and I are right about the same spot. I am about halfway done with F3. Going to try and finish it today.

I will probably wrap F3 up tonight also. Do you study on the weekends or just cram it in during the week and take the weekends off?

Olinto is the best.
Trying to finish up R2 tonight.

Never reschedule your exam unless you absolutely must. This will help keep you on schedule and focused.
Track MCQ performance during the review stage. It also will let you know if there are any areas you have spent too much (little) time on compared to what the CSOs/SSOs say for that test section.

My manager told me a while back that even if you might be right on pace to always try to do at least 45 minutes a day of studying. With work it is hard to finish the lectures during the week days so I usually study on weekends too.

Good luck to everyone studying. Stay away from those dreaded 74's.
I always told myself I would study on the weekends but I never did. I studied 3-4 hours each week night.
Yeah he's great. I sure hope JWOWW was able to bounce back from her 74 on BEC.

I'm technically part of the global reporting group which handles the consolidation of all of our regional entities as well as the financial reporting. We've experienced some turnover in the past year so I've accumulated some treasury functions as well. I really enjoy where I work and the type of work I do but I'm worried that upward mobility may become an issue due to personnel requirements.
