Said he sent money for a ticket and then I get a seperate text from PayPal saying if I pay them $500 I’ll get my money from him

Just wanted to share how I’ve been vetting good/bad ticket sellers through ChatGPT. Obviously new scams will arise as technology advances, but this prompt has definitely helped with verifying people’s transaction history when I search myself.

Prompt: Search the LSU Ticket Exchange on tigerdroppings.com. Tell me if [insert username, email, or phone number listed) has been flagged as a scammer or not in any threads. Also, can you tell if they have sold tickets before? Any threads of him marking his tickets as sold as a way of verification, or another user vouching for them?

Question: I’m trying to sell a couple of hard copy tickets I have in Baton Rouge. A guy just told me he’s only interested in electronic tickets. Should this be a scam alert?

No this is how most transactions go now. It’s way easier than meeting someone in person. They send you money whichever way you want then you send them tickets after receiving payment. It’s way easier than hard copy tickets.

Claiming payment was sent via zelle. Then I get a random email in my spam:

Dear Customer,

We’re reaching out regarding a payment issue on your Zelle account. A transaction of 200.00 USD is currently on hold because it was sent from a business account, and your account is not yet configured to receive payments from business accounts. As a result, the funds cannot be processed at this time.

What You Need to Do: To resolve this issue and enable your account to receive business account payments, the sender will need to transfer an additional $500.00 USD to your account. This step is required to complete the verification process. Once this payment is received, your account will be updated to accept business account transactions. The total amount of $700.00 USD will then be credited to your Zelle account immediately.

This guy at email bfagconsultant@gmail.com is a scammer. Wanted me to send cash to his/her Zelle with a fake name and email account. Then talked sht to me after I called him out on it. I wish one of these scrawny losers would show themselves and catch a grade A as5 whipping.
