READ BEFORE YOU BUY OR SELL - Scam Prevention Tips

The Ticket Exchange forum is a place for members to buy and sell tickets amongst themselves. TigerDroppings does not verify sellers, inspect tickets, or process any payments — every transaction here is strictly between the buyer and seller, at their own risk. We are not responsible for fake tickets, tickets that are never delivered, non-payment, or any other dispute that comes out of a deal made in this forum.

Scammers do target ticket forums, so please use common sense before sending money or tickets to a stranger.

If you're buying:
1. Pay with a method that offers buyer protection, such as PayPal Goods & Services or a credit card. If you use Venmo, make sure the payment is marked as a purchase so Venmo's Purchase Protection applies. Never use PayPal Friends & Family, Zelle, wire transfers, gift cards, crypto, or other payment methods that offer little or no recourse when buying tickets from someone you don't know. Always check the payment provider's current terms and eligibility requirements, as buyer protection programs have conditions and can change.
2. For mobile tickets, use the official ticketing platform's transfer system. A screenshot or image of a ticket is not proof that the ticket is legitimate.
3. Check the seller's TigerDroppings post history. Brand-new accounts, little or no posting history, and sellers pressuring you to act immediately should be treated with extra caution.
4. If you posted that you're looking for tickets and someone contacts you by text, email, or social media, ask them to reply to your thread from their TigerDroppings account before doing business with them.
5. If a deal feels too good to be true, it usually is.

If you're selling:
1. Don't transfer tickets until you have confirmed that payment has actually been received. Don't rely on a screenshot or email claiming that payment was sent.
2. Watch out for "accidental overpayment" scams where the buyer sends or claims to have sent too much and asks you to refund the difference.

Everyone:
1. Never assume someone is trustworthy simply because they have a TigerDroppings account. Account age and post history can be helpful, but they are not a guarantee.
2. Report suspicious users or listings to the mods immediately — don't wait until after money changes hands.
3. If you believe you've been scammed, report the user to us so we can investigate the account and warn others. You should also immediately contact your bank or payment provider and, when appropriate, law enforcement.
