Never just send money to an email either. Make them send you a request with info or an invoice. It gives you more to prove why you sent the person money. They also have to tell paypal when they have completed the transaction. So you get to see this and comment on it to Payapl.

Also never do the gift option.

Anyone ever heard of this?? Sounds very fishy!

You will have to take cash to a CVS, Rite Aid, 7 Eleven, Kroger, Walmart Sunoco or Radioshack if any of them are still open and get a Greendot Moneypak make sure what you get has Greendot Moneypak printed right on the front if it dont its not the right thing and make sure you do not get the new reloadable visa or mastercard as they will not work and are not needed once you have that you just email me the moneypak number from the moneypak, or i can give you the information and my account number for you to load it yourself ill also need your name address

That's the email i got

I wouldn't do it. If they don't have Paypal, I don't send them money.

I hate that Paypal takes 5%, but tis better than a scammer taking 100%

Use stub hub

Bump.

Ten pages of a thread about people getting scammed, when going through a reputable website like StubHub prevents all of this shite. So why don't people do it? Too cheap? Want to bargain with the seller? Don't want to pay StubHub's fee? Who knows.

why don't you just use stubhub, case solved. I don't understand all of this whining, people get taken on Craigslist all the time. Stubhub has a system to prevent all this crap.

Ha! I responded to a Craigslist ad.

Shanna.Hawkins@att.net

This poor girl is taking care of a sick father AND recovering from some kind of mouth surgery: "I was operated on maxillary, now I have a braces in mouth and only if I can breathe a few words. doctors told me that 15-20 days after surgery like this will be the situation. it is a very difficult situation so let me know your questions and i will do my best to respond asap thanx"

And she "has" 5 LSU Bama tickets for $1000.00 in section N6 Row 24 and they are aisle seats (yeah right) and they will be billed to me by Orange Courier and delivered by same with a tracking number. (again, yeah right)

Who do I report this scam to? I don't want to read 10 pages of speak.

Run far away from Shanna Hawkins...this is a scam. She tried to get me for a non-LSU game earlier in the year. You can't report it to anyone...the local authorities will not do anything about it, either will LSP.

the funny thing about her is that she is using an att email address. you'd think any police agency would shut her down.

Not like she's using yahoo or google mail.

I had this same thing happen today from the same seller with the same email via craigslist. The only difference is that I was trying to buy concert tickets for Madison Square Garden. THis person really gets around!

I started to become suspicious the same as you, and decided to google the email address...shannahawkins@att.net. This areticle showed up in the search.

We should seriously do something about this before someone takes a $500-$1000+ bath! Not sure what the course of action is...you?

I still don't get why, if she has an AT&T email, no one can catch her. Seems like it would be easier than with yahoo, gmail, etc.

I inquired about tix on Craigslist and got this email:

"I am selling all 4 tickets for $500. If you are interested to buy these tickets i will do this transaction only through eBay.In order to start the transaction i will need your full name, address, your ebay user id. They will send you an invoice how to purchase the tickets from me.( You will have to send the payment to an eBay agent. They will hold the funds until you will send them the confirmation that you received the tickets and they are real)."

Sounds fishy to me....
