I don't think anyone is worried about this year. But LSU can have an amazing team next year and still lose 2 SEC games. That team gets in the playoffs unless they lay an egg against Clemson. That Clemson game doesn't need to be the deciding factor. There are more ways it can hurt us than help us. SMU didn't beat any team that is currently ranked, but they are in.

Who would you rather watch LSU play?

Anyone in the playoff at the end of the season.

the end of the season.

So you want the end before the season even starts.

You're demanding horrible football during the season, and the market will supply that demand. It's really funny watching people complain about the demise of college football, and then turn around and demand its very ruin.

The fans sure seem to be getting what they want, if what they want is free agency, recruit bidding wars, irrelevant conference championships, and horrible matchups during the season.

It’s not the teams as much as it’s the format. The 4 highest ranked teams should be your bye teams period. Winning conference championships should help you get into the 12 team playoffs but not guarantee you a spot in the top 4. Boise and Arizona would be in via conference championships, but definitely shouldn’t be in the top 4.

You’re fighting a losing battle. Strength of Schedule doesn’t matter. It’s adapt or die in an ever changing landscape. Cancel Clemson play grambling state and only play SEC games. Tell me one benefit of a hard ooc game in todays world ?

again your thinking is really not looking out for our best interests long term now.

I'm not fighting any battle, I'm merely pointing out that people are demanding bad football during the season, and that's just what they're going to get - all in the name of the chance to watch their team lose in the playoffs.

The only reason I watch football games - entertainment.

I don't even watch the creampuff games anymore, they're just too boring. And by the looks of the half-empty Tiger Stadium for those games, it looks like a lot of other people don't to watch that shite either.

You only watch football for entertainment right. Therefore, you’ll be watching the playoffs. Guess what, you’ll care much more if lsu is in the playoffs rather than having harder games during the year and tiger stadium will be filled to the brim if they are winning

I remember when a BK-coached ND beat LSU.

absolutely correct.

I don't watch the cupcake games either. Football is about entertainment and drama. I want LSU to play BIG games, because we all get excited for Bama, Ole Miss, Florida, A&M, etc. In years past, we've played OOC games against Oregon, Va Tech, Wisconsin, USC, FSU, etc. I love those games, they're emotional, exciting, and dramatic - and if we lose, we lose.

I don't want to substitute Tulane, USL, La Tech, etc. for those games, even if we'll win more of them.

Play against the top teams - and we'll see what kind of team we have.

SEC is tough enough. this is not old BCS where we needed some tough OOC teams to help our SOS and maybe give us a quality win. SEC SOS helped back then also.

none of that matters anymore. just get wins easiest way possible and get in playoffs

"We need to get out of playing Clemson" I never thought I hear such scared whimpering. I hope no one outside of our fans read this.

If we would have beaten USC our argument at 9-3 is we beat a 5-7 Big10 team?
