Mettenberger will start. If he registers in a couple of months he'll have a great start before spring pratice.

I don't think he gets that many

I see why he was actually beating Aaron Murray out in the spring.

Yes I feel Mett will start, he has shown he can operate an offense ie: make completions, first downs and score something 2 of our current Qb's accomplish sporadically

He's got three years so you can't waste one. If he's not promised time he won't come. There are other places he can play, like OM who has offered him.

Either JJ or JL will be out unless they want to replace TC. He graduates this year. JJ does not mesh with the offense ZM needs to run. Heck, JJ does not mesh with an offense period. We need a good solid pro set OC to straighten this mess out. No new kids on the block or flaky hires. A Chavis type guy who knows this conference.

I think it's funny that crowton is paying the kid a visit yet people think he won't be at LSU next year

let me get this straight...

you think LES MILES is going to start a sophomore QB over two Senior QB's... one of which accounted for 4 total yards against mcneese state and still started the auburn game?

really?

This could be are new plan. Let other coaching staffs coach the kid up and then we hen get us a ew freshman coming in who our new offensive staff can begin to groom. The new quarterback will have someone to look up to for once.

I decided to bump this thread because I found a psychic on the board.

quote:

would be shocked if he came to Baton Rouge and threw more than 30 passes next year. JJ will still be the starter, no matter what. Hell, if his putrid play this season won't find him a seat on the bench, then nothing short of a felony conviction will.

Then, there's Lee. If he stays for his final season, does he rot on the bench? I don't think so.

Mettenberger will see some PT, but don't expect much.

Man you pretty much called exactly what was going to happen to the QB situation almost a full year before it did. JJ's arrest, Lee taking over, and Mett being the back up.
