Not getting Mett enough snaps last year.
This year He has 5 games to straighten out the offense. So I guess that was the plan from the beginning? Who knows.
I think Mett is going to make a lot of people say "why wasn't he starting last year????"

im not saying he shouldn't have gotten a few more snaps...but i don't think a 3rd string QB has ever gotten as many snaps as the Rant thinks Mett should've gotten

Has such a talented 3rd string QB ever languished behind two more mediocre QB's?

If time/number of snaps in games is the most important critical success factor, then how do you explain how the QB that took as many snaps as a starter as any QB in recent LSU history was still awful in his (thankfully) final game on January 9.
Mett should have been getting regular snaps behind JL early in the season, and then maybe LM would have remembered he had other options when his favorite couldn't cross the 50.

Most 3rd teamers get....NONE.
But here...letting your #3 guy not get more snaps is seen as a serious mistake.
Mett has been watching/playing/practicing in the college game since 1/09 and if he's not ready to take the field vs No Texas in 9/12, it will not be cause he didn't get a few more snaps as the 3rd string guy in 2011.
The minds that come up with this stuff are veryyyyy frighening.

So he is needs time to get things moving, which is Miles fault for not playing him more.
And you wanted him to get the time during last year when we were charging after the national title.
Everyone here is going to be singing his praises early, or bitching we arent throwing it enough. We will see what happens. I think he looks tremendous, I also know that looking good and results are not hand in hand. Hell, he looked better than JLee against NW, but JLee had better production. Go figure.

Rivers seems to have put on some weight (I know, I know...Moffit got a hold of him). He seems to have filled in his frame since last year when he was a 6'6 twig.
