Im thinking 10-2 with the Oklahoma game deciding LSUs playoff fate (9-3 if they drop OU).

Im going 10-2 & making the CFP somewhere around the 8th/9th team. Similar to a lot of the “experts” picks but if LSU gets a playoff home game, LSU WINS that game & then who knows?

I'd be happy with 10-2, lots of unknowns.

I also think 10-2....don't know exactly who the losses will be from.

There are really not a lot of unknowns. We know our defense needs significant improvement. That is a known. We know we will have a very good offense.

You have no idea about this. Nuss is a superstar in the making and while he will do well in college, I believe the NFL will be very good for him.

11-1. A loss to either Bama or OU

If we are 11-0 going into the last game of the season there is no how, no way LSU is losing at home to OU. Ain’t happening!!!!

Depth will likely be a problem. 9-3 seems about right.

"First year head coach" is meaningless in the age of the transfer portal. Look at what CBK did in year one. I wouldn't be so quick to write off A&M.

9-3. We beat OIe Miss and edge them out for the playoffs as the 4th SEC team to get in.

Defense is the problem, again.

9-3 and sneak into the playoffs. A close loss to USC and Oklahoma, plus a loss to Alabama. I think Oklahoma and Alabama will be in the top 12 at the end and the close loss to Oklahoma and USC (top 25)
will put LSU in the playoffs.

I have to say 11-1. Only loss at Bama. I don’t see Ole Miss or Oklahoma coming into Tiger Stadium and winning. @A&M is the trap game imo. But I’ll go 11-1. 10-2 at worst.

We beat Bama at home. I think we slip up against someone we shouldn’t like A&M. 11-1

I'm increasingly becoming a "negative Nancy" in regard to LSU's forthcoming football season, thanks to Phil Steele's 24 publication. -- his outlook on the Tigers appears grim.

Here's his evaluation of LSU's individual units, by SEC rank:

QBs-- 10th
RBs-- 13th
Receivers-- 4th
OL-- 3rd
DL-- 13th
LB-- 9th
DB-- 11th
ST-- 15th

Very discouraging

9-3

L’s to Old Misses, Bama and we don’t have the offensive firepower and lose another close game to someone we should’ve beaten.

Defense improves to top 50 but we lag in offense which hurts us.
