Your Thoughts on Memphis for SEC Tourney 2012

Sorry if Germans, but what are everyone's thoughts on the baseball tournament going to Memphis? Being in Birmingham, it sure is nice to have it right down the road. Autozone Park is a great park, but will we still travel as strong as we do to Birmingham?

If LSU baseball can travel to Los Angeles,

There could be several great venues for the conference to rotate to if it ever chose to do so and Memphis would be among a great list of cities with top-notch minor league facilities along with Orlando or Jacksonville, Chattanooga, Jackson, Miss. or New Orleans.

I've never been to Hoover but would strongly consider Memphis (have never been).

I'm really not in favor of it. The facilities I'm sure are much nicer than those in Hoover; however, Memphis is a very large city with a higher crime rate. I usually go by myself to Hoover and being a girl, I wouldn't go to Memphis alone. Just my opinion, we all have one.

I've been to the baseball stadium in Memphis and it's really nice. Nicer than Zepher field. And it's really not that far of a drive from Baton Rouge.
I'd worry about getting the SEC offices out of Birminham first. That needs to be moved to NY or South Florida or Texas or somewhere far out of Alabama!

There's nothing wrong with the facilities in Hoover. There's even a high school field near by that teams warm up on.
I'd like it to stay, but that's because I'm stuck here and it's the only perk of living in this hell hole of a state.

I love the idea.
Memphis is a much easier drive than Hoover. Plus, much more to do in Memphis. Great places to eat.
