I'm pretty young but I have a decent LSU collection that I've started. In 20 years it should be pretty strong. So far I have:

Framed newspapers from our 4 SEC Titles since 2001.

print of Tiger Stadium as it was from 1979-1999

print commemorating 1958 NC

Signed Game Ball from 1985 win against Notre Dame

Signed Game Ball from the 1988 SEC Championship Team

Replica of waterford crystal from 2007 NC

Signed Skip Bertman ball caught and signed on the day of the last regular season game in Alex Box Stadium against Mississippi State

Mom painted this for me

Print of the old Alex Box

SI cover from 2007 NC

Print signed by 1986 SEC Championship team

Picked this up at the Bayou Bash signing day party a few years ago

View of campus from the steps of the Law Center that my mom painted me for graduating Law School

Joe Barksdale's 2010 helmet. Signed by Coach Miles. I'm working to get Coach Dietzel on there as well.

LSU print that my dad gave me

Framed newspaper from the 2010 bama game that my dad had framed. Not the biggest win in school history but he and i had a great day.

That's a bunch of useless crap you won't know what to do with in 50 years IMO ...

HeyGeorge the Greek he probably thinks his collection is special. Why don't you stick with your 6 and 6 spartons and leave LSU people alone.

Tell your mom not to give up her job on the pole to become a painter.

Actually, the landscape isn't so bad.

Nice!

Mine are in boxes so I don't have pics, but I have about 15 signed footballs and mini helmets from fan day. Signed all American football from the spring game last year. Various ticket stubs, and a bunch of other stuff. Just recently got a signed poster by the men's basketball team and coach JJ.
My son is 6 years old and he absolutely loves LSU. He's starting to appreciate collecting these things with me and were making memories.

Thanks. I live 34 miles from Mich State, really poor fans. Have big Mich complex. I just wonder how you get in a bowl game with a 6 and 6 record.

No pics but I've got:
-2001, 2003 SEC championship and 2001, 2003 Sugar Bowl newspapers framed (was at LSU from 2001-2005 so those are the big games when i was there)
- old school (single bar facemask with #20 on side instead of tiger head) full sized helmet signed by Billy Cannon
- full sized Louisville Slugger wooden bat with "LSU National Champions '91 '93 '96 '97 '00 '09" engraved on the barrel
- a huge framed poster from the 03 national championship documenting every single play on it (limited to 5000 copies)
- a full sized football from the 2010 Cotton Bowl with some engravings regarding ATM and LSU on it
- framed 2003, 2007 sports illustrated covers
- Waterford crystal footballs from 2003 and 2007 championships
- 2011 pro combat gloves
- just got a pair of team issued 2012 nike pro vapor cleats 2 days ago

Don't really know how to display the pro combat gloves (still in box) or the cleats yet.

I'm pretty young 29, so most of my stuff is fairly recent. Was also in med school until 3 years ago and was poor as shite.

ETA: Also have an 8x10 photo of me and Saban at 2000 LSU football camp. Got dominated by Michael Clayton and the rest of that recruiting class all week.

Great Job. I started a collection like yours in 1958 and each item I have is special to me. Keep saving these things that others throw away and in 20 years you'll have a collection to be proud of (not that you shouldn't be proud of what you already have).

I would take pics of my collection but it would look worthless compared to yours. The only real valuable piece I have is a a white LSU nike hat signed by every starter from the 2006 team that an assistant coach gave to me. Its really nice because the players took their time signing it and all the signatures are legible.

Since you indicated you are young, thought I would help you show off your collection correctly. The original east side upper deck opened up in 1978 vs Indiana. The dates you indicate are correct in that this is how Tiger Stadium was from 1979-1999. It was also like that in 1978.

Nice stuff man. No matter how much or how little, it's yours. I'm sure the guy making negative comments had something he holds on to that you and I would consider worthless. Some people have one thing, some have entire rooms/houses dedicated to "worthless shite". As long as it means something to you and you enjoy it, it's worth something
