Jefferson is a good passer with potential to become a great passer. He can also run. Barkley is a good passer with the same potential. Not as good of a runner. It's hard to compare the two since they are in differnet systems but both are and will be good. I am happy with jeffersons progression. He will continue to improve

By the way how many mistakes has JJ made 0 (wish I could make it biger) he dosent throw into traffic, he dosent force balls, all he does is give us a chance to win.

Well badly thrown balls and missing wide open WRs could constitute mistakes...

But no turnovers yet

On a serious note, what I enjoyed seeing tonight was improvement. Our offense came out and opened it up a hell of a lot more than we did @UW. And as much bitching that is done about our defense, it took 3-4 play-making holds being ignored, and Sheppard dropping an easy damn touchdown, for Vandy to even put up the 7 points they did. Take away the horrible snap on our punt, and we SHUT THEM OUT. What's the problem?

Is there work to do? Yeah, lots. I like what I saw from #10 today and hopefully we use him a bit more often now. We're nowhere near as bad off as people say. We won as far across country as possible in the season opener by 15 (yeah, final score is 8, but that was a garbage TD. For the purposes of argument, it's 15 during the time that mattered at all). And then we win at home against an SEC opponent by 14. Both games had potential for us to be up another 14.

UF looked bad early on against Troy. Alabama was LOSING TO FIU 14-13 in the 2nd quarter. Ole Miss looked like shite all game in their first week contest. USC, for all the hype they always get, did not look good against Ohio State, who had trouble with Navy's physicality. My point is, the "best of the best" are not as far ahead of us as most people here would claim.

That said, why is a pass down the middle of the field on 3rd and 5+ always an easy 15 yards untouched? That shite needs to be fixed fast

...USC better be on their game when they play UW because I have a feeling that UW will be ready to show up to play.

THAT is the game I really want to see the outcome and final stats on next weekend. That should give us a better handle on where JJ and LSU are, I think.

I'll give both LSU's O and D this much, when it really counted later in the 4th Q, both showed up and got it done: LSU's O with a pair of late TD drives in both games and LSU's D at least making Locker burn clock and work for UW's last late TD and holding Vandy scoreless, plus giving up only a bit over 200 yards total. I think Vandy only picked up something like 4 of 14 first downs tonight as well. Dominant D? No, but better tonight at least.

Plus, in a very hostile stadium last weekend, JJ led LSU down the field when it really counted and put a late TD on the scoreboard. He didn't seem quite as settled at times tonight, I wonder if part of it may have something to do with the flow and timing of getting plays called in to him?

Yeah, I miss an LSU dominant defense for sure ... big time, but I'm hoping against hope for steady improvement on both sides of the ball, especially the D, before we hit the teeth of the SEC schedule.

LSU looked better today than last week.

I'm OK with that trend.

Well, if you are not thinking with your heart, then why be a tigerfan? One thing I do respect is those fans that love the Raiders, Lions, even the Saints. At least they love their team when team is losing or winning. However, some posters just want to complain about everything. They only want to be a fan when it is convenient for them. I know that some fans might have the purple and gold glasses on when it comes to some topics. However, just because we have faith in this team and that they aren't as bad as it seems doesn't mean we wear them now. Tiger fan 4 life!

I, for one, am enjoying the fact that we are 2-0 and will be ranked in the top 10 this week. We beat two BCS teams and our coaching staff has seen what needs to be worked on and I trust that those things will be fixed by the Georgia and Florida games.
