Do be honest, 2/5 was a damn blessing. Sucked at the time, but the only player that really amounted to something was brown, and that wasn’t much tbh.

It’s amazing that almost every time that we get burned by someone like that, they end up being mediocre. I will be interested to see how things turn out with Surtain at Bama.
That was a dick move that he/his father pulled.

We all knew where those were not coming here the day before they signed.

The difference with those guys is they generally didn't play the staff up until the announcement. Most of them shot straight with LSU and just informed them they wanted to play ball elsewhere.
Brown, Willis, and Noil had all told the LSU staff within days of their announcement they were coming to LSU, to intentionally cause confusion and make their announcement more dramatic. I don't think Surtain did that, but the point is you usually see a trend with that kind of attention seeking behavior.

This is not referring to every player that ever chose bama over us.
Moses/Buggs are the only ones out of those that we had a real shot for. Moses was really the only one that burned us, and he’s still not yet one of the top players in the country or anything.
