post thanksgiving meaningless games against oregon state/utah state - when you had to share your flask with the marshals just to sit in their portal seats which were wall-ed off from the wind on a surprisingly cold night and sparsely attended student section - in fact, it got so cold, i left my date to retrieve a dorm room blanket - she's now my wife of 31 yrs

I still remember Tiger Stadium before it had the West Upper Deck.
When my Dad attended LSU, it was still a horseshoe.

My father or older brother driving us up from Metairie in the 60's, when you passed the 3 oak trees it was time to get over for the left turn onto Highland. We used to stop at some 7-11 on Highland that had a 'Boot Hill' sign next to it, dunno why.
If LSU lost my father would be pissed and the drive home was very exciting, he liked to bring a flask, I have no idea how we lived through those trips.
I used to bring a notepad and write down the result of every play, I still have those books.
Sometimes we would go to Tulane games on Friday night and LSU on Saturday.

When they actually cooked hamburgers and hotdogs in the stadium, and oh yeah, those rented cloth seats were damned comfortable.

I was there for the Utah State game, with my mom. Cold and miserable in the lower part of South stadium. and the game wasn't even close.
