You guys are all wrong about our problems...

The problems aren't Chief, 3rd and Chavis, inexperience, offensive playcalling, etc. Our biggest problems are staring us right in the face.
Let's take a look at the top 4 in the country.
Alabama - only plays two tough games all year
FSU - only plays 3 kind of tough games and don't compare to Bama's two toughest opponents
Oregon - Does not play anyone all year long except an average Stanford
Ohio State - let's not even discuss their schedule
Another thing about all 4 of these teams is all of them have returned talent every year and seem not to lose players to the draft like LSU. In my opinion, this is because all 4 of these schools pay big money to get players and may even pay big money to make players stay one more year. We all know for sure that Bama pays some big cash.
In conclusion, our problem boils down to two things. We need an easy schedule and Miles needs to quit being so selfish and hand out some more cash to keep depth and get the recruits we want. We will have an easy schedule next year so that's not a problem. Now Miles just needs to pay some quality guys to stay and get some of these recruits to commit and we are set for next year.
I know some of you will comment about how stupid I am, but you need to face reality.

Do you realize we got our shite pushed in not by Ole Miss, but their SECOND STRING?
WE DIDN'T EVEN PLAY THEM AT THEIR FULL STRENGTH AND WE GOT EMBARRASSED ON NATIONAL TV BY AN UNRANKED DEPLETED OLE MISS TEAM
And you want to complain about wanting an easier schedule?

You obviously don't get the point. We have had no bye week yet and have already played @UGA who was at full strength and played UF, and 3 other away games while all of the other teams I have listed have already had bye weeks and haven't really played anyone or even away games that much.
Which means we have been tested way more and are probably a little more worn out for that matter. It doesn't give the full excuse of why we lost to Ole Miss, but that combined with keeping talent does.

They still beat Ole Miss.

2011 we had a pretty solid schedule. I'd rather go 10-2 with a tough schedule than talk mad shite about being 12-0 with a bitch schedule.

So you would rather go 10-2 and a shitty bowl than 12-0 and a Championship????

This is a dumbs thread. If I was a Bama fan I would be livid paying for season tickets to BF University, Georgia Deaf & Dumb, and Itching Ear Academy games. BORING.
I would rather play some real teams and risk a loss or two rather than the way the Gumps do it!!!

Alabama beat ole miss with ease, and ole miss wasn't missing 6 players at the time....
could LSU go on the road and win vs Clemson?
the scheduling sucks, but it had nothing to do with this weekends game vs ole miss.

Ole Miss should have been an "easy" game this year. That's what fans are so pissed about, and rightfully so.

Ole Miss was NOT a tough game. LSU should have skulldrugged them and had the reserves in by mid-way through the third quarter. LSU should have beaten the Rebels like Ike beat Tina.

You mean as opposed to powerhouses like Kent and Furman?

Posted on 10/21/13 at 6:19 am to Tchefuncte Tiger
So, your argument is that LSU was looking past Ole Miss to the big showdown with Furman and that's why we lost ?

That's all horsecrap. Bama shut out this Ole Miss team when it had momentum and was at full strength. LSU lost to a depleted, reeling Ole Miss team.
LSU had everything to play for vs Ole Miss and laid an egg. It was coaching, it was execution, it was lack of preparation and, more surprising, a lack of talent.
Our defense is terrible. The defensive players who left were mostly 4th year juniors. It's on Les to recruit for a succession plan. Of the highly rated DL from this years class, few have seen action.
The DL is soft and gets pushed. The LBers are slow and can't tackle.
Our offense has really not changed much. It's mostly the same shite as before. The mix is not appreciably different.
The OL is coached by a man who should have been canned years ago.
This team is not very good overall. Of course, it will look great compared to what we'll put on the field next year. We lose our offensive skill players and the D can no longer be counted upon to keep us in games.

Sure...we need an easy schedule so we can fall into the ranks of "not playing anyone"
That bodes real well with BCS standings.
