Floyd also got interrupted on two other occasions in the 4th when he was trying to gather himself, one when we sent help from the dugout to the pen (we really need to do something about that), and then again when they pinch hit after their batter literally dug into the box and Ty had already addressed him.

Might as well get a couple more Crews while were at it.

That would be awesome as well.

This is the best take away. All that went wrong and still needed just one big hit.

Jay needs to make it a point to get 2 or 3 guys like Skenes from the portal to make sure we don’t have this problem next year.

Skenes is the best pitcher in college baseball in about 15years. And having one of the best seasons ever. These guys are not floating around.

This staff at full health would have been really really good. So it's not Floyd's fault or Little's fault they aren't weekend starters. Both likely better served as relivers.

Hurd, on the other hand, needs to come into his own and be a Saturday guy for LSU if they want to really make a run at this thing.

I don't know that any single thing causes Floyd to lose it in game. All I know is that he has a habit of suddenly losing it. People are blaming the umpire, and I didn't like a lot of calls, either, but many of his pitches weren't close. This isn't a new phenomenon. It's unfortunate, because he can dominate for stretches in games, but the consistency just isn't there.
