Please explain how it is irrational. Why didn't O just hire Steve last year? No. Let's hire Canada, fire Canada, and continue to pay Canada while the new OC was already on staff when Canada was hired. But don't be mad LSU fans!!! Just grin and take it. Cause when it all fails, Ed O will have to be bought out as well. And the fans will pay for it.

I think that the reason it is irrational is because everyone keeps saying the same things...... like move on already. We don’t know why he didn’t hire Steve last year. He has him now so deal. It’s not that hard.

this is exactly what people said when we wanted Miles out after 2015. but people like you begged him to come back only to have him shite the bed 1 game into the 2016 season. that disaster could have been avoided. it's funny how the so called detractors saw the miles downfall coming, its eerily similar in some respect to the path that Orgeron is taking. At least Miles had the sense to conduct a legit search to replace Kevin Steele at DC.

I agree that Miles wore out his welcome and should have been let go earlier. However, I believe O and Miles are nothing alike. Miles wouldn’t change and now O has changed 2 times. Miles would have hired someone that wasn’t right and held on him for years. O at least deserves a little credit for identifying something he felt was not in the best interest for LSU and changing it.

And truthfully even though O has been scrutinized and criticized I feel like every opportunity he has had to make a tough decision on coaches he has always hired really well. Canada at the time was a great hire they just didn’t get along. The Oline coach was handled brilliantly and I think the new WR coach will pay dividends as well. Tommie Rob as a RB coach and recruiting Cor is an awesome get. Ed attracts really good coaches LSU fans just can seem to realize it for some reason. Highly criticized!!

Yea some of these guys don't have faith in the coaching staff. Most on here probably never played football beyond Pee Wee. We will be just with the talent and coaching we have in place. Just let it play out.

And that's why Tennessee told Schiano to take a hike.

Upvote. This board makes me embarrassed to be an LSU fan.

hiring a 55 year old career dline coach that has never in his life proven he can run a successful side of the ball let alone a successful program makes me embarrassed to be a lsu fan.

You’re glossing over the realities of the situation. The way Orgeron handled the Canada situation is as shameful and pathetic as anything I’ve seen a coach do at LSU. He pushed a guy out who wanted to be here because of a petty personal argument in which Canada apologized (O didn’t btw) and Aranda and Canada pleaded with him to reconsider. He used his cronies in the media to smear the mans name like a high school girl starting gossip and gave the AD and his assistants the finger when they attempted to patch things up. He then hired an OC who doesn’t want the job. He turned it down last year and had to be begged not to retire before this past season. Hiring an OC like this is a huge blow to offensive recruiting. No elite offensive players are going to come to a school that has no direction offensively with an OC who’ll likely retire after this season or next. Every other OC that was approached turned us down because they know what Orgeron did and is and refuse to come work for him. The guy is a dishonest childish ego maniac, he’s a bull in a china shop who’s lied about everything he said in order to get the job at LSU and is set up to fall flat on his face. You can call it whining but anyone who knows anything can see what’s about to happen here and these fans have every right to be ups

blind support is the reason Alleva knew he could hire the most unqualified hire in big 6 history.

Kids,LOL! Catman I call bullshite on not using tickets. If so sell to me . I already have three but could use three more. After next season I will decide as an adult if I think situation is headed right way. Not going to let a bunch of crying ,feet kicking and thumb sucking 20 something year olds tell me what I should think.

I just ask the AD, Joe Alleva, from an LSU fan who cares, just try. At the very fricking least just put forth some fricking effort in building a successful program.
