I’ve had my seats since the PMAC opened in 1972 and was there yelling for the Tigers when you were still crapping in your pants.

No one gives a shite how ancient you are.

Now you’re just the old guy with a piss bag; holding your wife’s hand under a blanket at the game instead of cheering.

LSU basketball fans are so old...

How old are they?

Half of them their meds have kicked in and their asleep and the other half have forgotten where they are.

AU became a great venue...LAST YEAR...which coincidentally was the first year they were worth a shite in a while.

Ok, well we're arguably top 15 in the nation so what are we waiting on??

Exactly, college kids DGAF, they'd rather be texting or playing video games or whatever else it is they do.

The crowd is older. We just need to create a new generation of fans and that comes with consistent winning over time, it won't come in a day or a year or even 2 or 3 years.
This is it. I've given up on the terribly disinterested students.

Except we aren’t ranked in the polls yet. Casual fans have no idea about NET.

When I went to games back when I was a student, I never understood how the crowd is loud and participates in football and baseball, but is non-existent in basketball. LSU is one of the few schools in the Power 5 that has weak basketball attendance. Hell, at Texas A&M you have to pay extra to go to non-football sports and they pack in the stadium.

Yes. We need a consistent winner to bring back more enthusiastic interest.

The student section was moved during a low point in student interest in a bad period of basketball. There are student sections at other schools located behind the opposing team's goal that are great. Hopefully, Wade has a consistent winner bringing back the Deaf Dome.

Just imagine what LSU football fandom would look like if football results had been comparable to LSU men's basketball over the past 10 years. How were things for football fan enthusiasm through most of the 80's and 90's? My recollection is that fan interest was pretty low compared to today.

When people compare our fans and students to programs with consistent and more extended success, it's not fair.

Don't get me wrong. I wish there were more fans cheering. I go to all the home games and some away games. I am sure people around me tire of my yelling and whistling. That's too bad. I feel that it's my right to be vocal as a fan.

Geaux Tigers!!

attendance has been better.

Don't make a comment on something you know nothing about.

10,000 fans at the last game. Attendance comes with winning.

When is the crowd loud at LSU football games? It's been a few years. Relax dude.

I have never had anyone say anything to me for cheering. I can’t imagine what the frick you’re talking about.

Yep. Was at the game Saturday. The atmosphere is nothing like the 80's when I was in school and the student section was half the PMAC. Good grief we have a DJ in the student section to try and liven things up.

It makes no sense LSU has such a terrible home court advantage in basketball.

It’s like the Rant thinks we’ve been good at basketball the last 25 years. What gives?

I am a student and bringing the section back to life is a process. We have been trash in basketball as of recent so this change in culture is a gradual process. The student section will improve I promise you that. We can’t just turn into duke or Kansas though. Most students care about football way more and don’t realize how special this basketball team is yet but they will very soon.

moving the students killed the atmosphere plain and simple. when most of us were students, the place was rocking when the team was as good as it currently is now.

now the students completely abandoned the PMAC when the team sucked, but so did everyone else. not sure why the students had to penalized

Do Y'all need a 30 year old to come over and teach you how it's done?
