Not after a loss to an undefeated SEC team on the road, unfortunately.

I'm surprised Woody allows Derek to have such an incredible impact in the program. One of the reasons to bring back Austin Thomas to reign Derek in a little bit. I would think he'll be let go the same time as O.

What does recruiting class do when he's gone at end of season. Key recruits leave than you have to go in late to recruit other people. Better to know now. I know the next hire will be unknown so it's a toss up on which direction SW wants to go.

He has already proven himself in spades...to be incompetent and not up to his current job description.

Honest question - besides satisfying fans urge to do something now, what is the benefit? Please tell - this season results are meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

Fire him next week, and let other coaches use the job as leverage for their renegotiations?

Or maybe, do the negotiating behind the scenes and have a deal with the coach you want very soon after the season is over (ideally a few days after O is let go).

I want him gone as much as anyone, but best to do all the work behind the scenes and not let us be used as a leverage tool.

No matter the timing, this recruiting class is going to be tough to salvage. Early signing periods and coaching changes usually lead to underwhelming classes (based on what we are used to) - but it's the price to pay for moving forward.

That team is Kentucky dude. You can try to make it sound better by not naming the team, but it's still Kentucky. If there is ever a point in time when LSU is behind Kentucky in football then it is way past time to make changes.

Not really

You've had O's balls directly inserted in your mouth for years, meanwhile trying your best to tear down every single other coach on LSU's campus because you are an insecure little bitch. You are WAYYY past the point of being able to say you want what's best for the program. If you want to save any bit of respect you may have left on this board, then own up to your stupidity. You are a laughing stock here, and you can't just pretend it never happened now.

He's the kind of douche who will be on here in 2 years saying "I was one of the first who want Orgeron gone"

It should happen soon so that it gives the fans something to believe in but who knows what Scott W. has in mind.

I was another one who thought O would make it through the season, but now I feel he is gone Sunday if we lose to Kentucky, especially if the team plays uninspired...

Sometimes its better to put out the fire before it becomes a raging inferno.

If LSU continues to lose, the chatter around the program will get really, really bad and become a huge distraction and a massive negative.

Sometimes you just pull the trigger, and then after a week or two, media and people start focusing on optimism aka a new coach search and a new era.

No. He won’t be removed until end of season no matter what. Woodward waits until end so he can fire and announce the replacement ASAP.

The longer he is employed, the more the potential embarrassment. I don't see Woodward keeping him if we lose the next 3. Say we go 1-2 and get blown out at Ole Miss, no way Woodward let's this clown coach AT Alabama so Saban can beat us by 50.

No sense firing him mid-year unless he’s being combative or something. Just get a replacement lined up if he continues to fail.

No, he will be fired after a loss in the season finale to A&M and our record will be 4-8 at that time.
