The only one you could really argue with is Joe Addai.

The problem with JR is that he plays in Oakland.

I think Campbell has a break out year, and Buster Davis deserves to be on that list, Russell less so because he plays for the Raiders and missed the first year

I think they are pivotal players. JR playing in Oakland doesn't help him. He'll be better off than Stafford will be going to Detroit.

Did you read it? His work ethic is apparently very questionable. But yeah, Oakland does have a little to do with it.

No, Oakland has alot to do with it. They havent had a solid coach to impliment one system, that makes it hard for a quarterback, who is the leader of their team, to adjust. Let him get used to one system by one coach for more than one year, and he will be just fine.

That doesn't mean he's not facing a pivotal season though

That seemed to be the focus of the article.

I agree, I was just responding to the gump who wasted no time in making sure everyone knew the article said that his work ethic was questionable. I was giving my opinion on why his work ethic might be in question, rather than making sure the whole board knew about the negative.

everyone playing for the Raiders has a questionable work ethic, except Asomughi who just go the pay day he was playing for.. its why they're the worst team in the league

Some are starting to wonder if his penchant for taking big hits and lack of elite speed - about joe addai
-----------------------------------------------------------

didnt Joe run a 4.39 at the combine. fastest of all backs that year.

Last season wasnt JR 's fault it was a glimpse to where Tenn. is headed.

So his work ethic is questionable because of the coaching fiasco in Oakland or because Oakland is just a fricked up franchise right now?

Croyle sucks and I laugh at Herm Edwards for ever thinking Brodie could be the guy for a NFL team. But Russell is going to be a way bigger bust than Croyle due to where the 2 were picked.

I think it is more that just work ethic. If you are in the NFL...you have good work ethic,...or else you wouldnt be there. I'm no expert by any means but it is hard for me to believe that a team with a backfield that includes a should have been Heisman Trophy winning RB and a top tier QB has bad work ethic. I think we saw this past year with LSU that coaching matters way more than what we acknowledge. I think that is a big factor that the article failed to mention.

Both. I'm not saying that he doesnt have the best work ethic, because I remember him having some trouble being disciplined with having to shed some pounds after he was drafted, but that shouldnt be the main focus surrounding him. Every organization needs a solid foundation to be successful. If Oakland can get that foundation, good things will come to it.
