So does joining the armed forces, and you can do that without going into debt.

The QBs are terrible in the XFL. He would benefit zero there.

Multitude of reasons this won't happen:
1. Training rooms, facilities and medical staffs are probably light years ahead of what the XFL could offer.
2. Top sophomores can insure themselves against catastrophic injury while in college so no benefit in a coveted college player going out to make $150k.
3. Top undergraduate prospects are usually on good college teams. How good would Jamar Chase look running routes for the LA Wildcats and being thrown to by someone who didn't make the practice squad in the NFL, the roster in the CFL, or the roster in the now disbanded AAFL?
4. The idea of drafting freshmen and sophomores could only work with perimeter guys (DBs and WRs) who rely more on speed and agility than "physical" prowess. The XFL may be a lower tier league but they are still grown men and the difference in body from a person one year removed from high school prom and a 24 year old who still has dreams of making it to the big show and coming to hit you with every bad intention is stark.
5. As an 18 or 19 year old, there are definite benefits to being the BMOC, star athlete of Big College U, walking around campus, being celebrated after every game, watching you highlights on ESPN. You don't lack for companionship. Your day is planned for you. If you're lucky you get a NC ring. Contrast that with playing in the XFL with tens of people watching you, ESPN showing the occasional highlight, wondering if the league will fold next week, no personal fiefdom in which to pick the prettiest girl...all for 150k pre-tax dollars?
And there are many more reasons, but these are a few.

This issue is not going to go away if XFL survives as a league.
It was a main topic on Kanell & McElroy today.
Also serious talk around removing 1 year penalty for all transfers.

Because you quoted a first round draft pic as part of the discussion. That's beyond retarded. NFL left overs go to xfl, not first rounders. You got down voted because this is knowledge even a preteen would get.
