Wikipedia Has a list of survivors still alive. If his name is not on it. Maybe someone here who has access can add his name.

Special generation, my Grand Father actually joined at 16 but they kicked him out because he was to young. At 17 his mother signed so he could join at 17. The Last thing I am doing is trying to join a war in my teens. But as I said a great and special generation. We live free off the blood of our grand parents and great grand parents.

I took the OP out of context as in he was questioning if the individual served. I stated below if he was not doing that that I was wrong and I apologize. I will man up when I’m wrong.

Said he was 96. Got up out his wheelchair to throw it. Golden generation indeed

Not gonna lie, when I saw post someone started cutting onions
Lost my Grandpa opening day last season, he was a month shy of 96 & a WWII vet
Most of my game threads were started at his nursing home so he could watch games with me

I miss that man every single day

Well said. My generation sucks compared to the generation of my grandparents/great grandparents. Those were real men and women. People today don't even know what a man or woman even is now.

My Dad served in the Navy in WW II and is still alive and kicking. Truly the Greatest Generation. I took him and my boys to the museum in NO for Father’s Day a couple of years ago. It is uncanny how many details he remembers from so long ago.

I just retired. No way a WWll vet should have to prove his service on a wiki page or be questioned by someone who hasn’t done anything for his country.

No one was questioning him dude. He was asking so he could research the guy. If you’re this stupid I hope you retired as an e6 so you never had the chance to make much of an impact.
