Can we just move on to trash talking for the Florida game?
Talking trash to WV and KY is like talking trash to La Tech or Tulane.

LOL
You'll see a real defense tomorrow night. And it won't be dressed in blue and yellow.

well our team wears burlap sacks and y'all are purple and yellow so why the hell would I care about some team not even at the game?

Honestly, I don't really disagree with that. It only takes a halfway good defense to keep our offense in check. We have slow methodical drives. Nothing frilly or fancy. We will never score tons of points with just our O.
When are you guys going to understand that this is a recipe that works...it is WHY we wear teams down in the third and fourth quarter...long time consuming methodical drives...wear a team down...and keep the ball away from their offense...then our D comes out fresh and gets it right back......the problem the last few years with JJ is that we could not sustain drives...just too many 3 and outs for this method to work. We may not put up a lot more yards......but our 3 and outs are significantly reduced this year...and that is a huge difference in the O from last year and this one. I just wish you guys that love the flash would stop and consider that this recipe is perfect for our team.

I have read three of your posts and laughed at all of them.
Welcome to the Rant.

Agreed, although only three games into the season we are at 47.5% conversion, as opposed to last season(overall), was 38%, but consider that is through an entire season. I think as long as we can maintain, at least, our current conversion rate coupled with our defense, we should run an efficient and effective complete game.

Stop? No Limit? Yes
The goal of the 3-3-5 defense is to prevent big plays and limit TD's. So for the most part rushing you guys will get your 3 to 5 yds per carry but then when things get into the redzone our D will tighten up and try and force a FG. If we can do that more times than not then the defense did its job.
Geesh. How many of those pounding 80 yard drives that only end in a field goal, can one team take? That has never worked for any team. You have to get the running team off the field or you will be worn out by midway through the third.
WVU really is not going to use a 3-3-5 against LSU, are they?

WVU's defense gave up 477 yards in total offense and 29 first downs to Maryland. The 477 yards split up as: 289 in the air, 188 on the ground. Our offense isn't high octane, but you have to wonder how a defense that gave up nearly 500 yards to a mediocre Maryland team is going to shut down our offense, especially late in the game. I'm not seeing it.
Well, Maryland has a great offensive coordinator...
