I travel there for work and have always liked the town. Of course, you have got to be realistic in your expectations...it is a town of 12,000 and is the largest town in a few counties, so it is not going to exactly be on par with New Orleans.
Go to the kennel club (behind jake and rips) and get the pork chop with cherry reduction sauce. They also make the best whiskey old fashioned I have ever tasted.
Don't be put off the all of the ole miss shite on the front of the place, as I have never had any trouble there as an LSU fan.

Go east on 8 till you find Greysport Crossing and take a left. Go down a little ways almost to the lake you’ll see the Dry Dock on the left. That’s where you gonna want to be. Surprisingly good food. Had a hell of a good steak there the other day.

Update- Jake and Rips was disappointing. Had the brisket and it was crispy like bacon.. oh well that’s what I get for not staying In Memphis.
